A huge number of new games are now confirmed for Game Pass

A truly colossal wave of new titles is about to crash onto Game Pass, rewriting the remainder of September and even looking ahead to October.

While our recent article mentioned RoadCraft arriving today, the latest news reveals that was just the beginning of a monumental new batch of games joining the service. It’s a fantastic turn of events that brings a tidal wave of blockbusters, highly anticipated indies, and returning classics.

Let’s dive into this huge month for Game Pass!

RoadCraft (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) – September 16th

As we mentioned just recently, RoadCraft has officially joined the Game Pass library.

This advanced simulation game from Saber Interactive puts you in control of a disaster recovery company. You’ll operate over 40 vehicles, from bulldozers to construction cranes, to reshape devastated areas, rebuild roads and bridges, and clear debris.

With a new physics engine, you can manipulate elements like sand and asphalt, making this a deep and engaging experience for simulation fans.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Console – Game Pass Standard) – September 17th

The war has changed, and it’s coming to Game Pass Standard.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III brings its blockbuster campaign, a massive multiplayer mode with 16 iconic modernised maps, and a new open-world Zombies experience to the service. Task Force 141 and Captain Price are back, facing off against the ultimate threat, Vladimir Makarov, in a direct sequel to the record-breaking Modern Warfare II.

This is a massive, high-octane addition for console players.

For the King II (Console – Game Pass Standard) – September 17th

The strategic tabletop RPG adventure, For the King II, expands its reach from PC to console this week on Game Pass. Embark on a journey to free the land from the tyrannical rule of a traitorous queen.

You’ll build a party and fight your way through a procedurally generated world, using dice-driven mechanics and turn-based combat to overcome challenging enemies and events. It’s a great experience for fans of tabletop RPGs.

Overthrown (Game Preview) (Xbox Series X|S) – September 17th

Get a glimpse of a brand new action-adventure game with a unique twist in Overthrown, a new Game Pass Standard title.

You play as a Monarch with an ancient, soul-stealing crown, tasked with building a kingdom in a perilous wilderness.

The game combines city-building, resource gathering, and combat, with the added twist of fighting like an “anime protagonist.” You can even play with up to six friends in co-op.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – September 17th

The popular auto-shooter sensation, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, makes its debut on Game Pass, Day One.

Step into the boots of a lone dwarf on a mission to survive hordes of aliens and strike it rich. The game combines the beloved universe of Deep Rock Galactic with a roguelike, horde-survival gameplay loop.

You’ll use over 40 weapons and a variety of upgrades to dig deep, fend off waves of bugs, and complete missions in procedurally generated caverns.

Frostpunk 2 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) – September 18th

The chilling city-survival sequel, Frostpunk 2, arrives on Game Pass. This game takes the genre to a new level as you lead a sprawling metropolis through a cascade of post-apocalyptic calamities.

You must navigate the conflicting interests of various factions and manage a city with endless needs and demands. Your strategic decisions and ability to form alliances will determine the survival of your society in the frozen wastes.

Wobbly Life (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – September 18th

Jump into the vibrant and chaotic open-world sandbox of Wobbly Life. Explore Wobbly Island, work a variety of jobs to earn cash, and customise your wobbly character, vehicles, and homes.

With its physics-driven gameplay and diverse mini-games, it’s a game about having fun and causing a little bit of silly chaos.

Hades (Cloud, Console, and PC) – September 19th

The critically acclaimed roguelike action RPG, Hades, makes its return to the Game Pass library.

As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to escape the clutches of the god of the dead. With its ever-shifting environments, deep progression, and a captivating story told through each unique escape attempt, Hades is a masterpiece of the genre.

Yep, we said it – a masterpiece!

Looking Ahead to More Game Pass Adventures

The Game Pass additions don’t stop this week. The rest of September promises a host of new titles, including the 4X strategy game Endless Legend 2 on September 22nd, the action-packed roguelike Sworn on September 23rd, and the family-friendly Peppa Pig: World Adventures on September 25th.

Also look for Visions of Mana, the latest installment in the RPG series, on September 25th, and a classic Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on September 30th. Even further down the road, Sopa – Tale of the Stolen Potato is set for an October 7th release!

Saying Goodbye to These Games on September 30th

As new games arrive, a few must make their departure. The following titles will be leaving the Game Pass library at the end of the month:

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Terra Invicta (Game Preview) (PC)

This week’s Game Pass update is truly monumental, bringing a staggering number of high-profile and highly-anticipated titles to the service. Whether you’re a fan of strategy, action, or indie gems, there’s something here for everyone.

Be sure to jump in and enjoy all the new games while you can!
