Changes once again happen in Game Pass

Are you ready for a big week in the world of Game Pass? You are? Great, because there are some serious changes coming about to the game roster this week. Whilst we find new games added, we also have to put up with the removal of others.

As with anything Game Pass, it’s the frequency of the changes that make it exciting. With new games being added to the Game Pass world on a regular basis, and others moving out to make way, it’s part of what makes this Xbox subscription so great.

But what are the changes this week? Well, it’s mid-month, and that means whilst we welcome in one singular new game, we must say goodbye to other – and we’re losing a half dozen.

Riders Republic

Joining Game Pass on September 11th is Ubisoft’s Riders Republic.

A thrilling open-world sports game that’s available this week on Game Pass, this massive multiplayer playground invites you to embrace your inner daredevil and explore a breathtaking landscape filled with adrenaline-pumping activities.

From skiing and snowboarding to biking and wingsuit flying, there’s something for every thrill-seeker in Riders Republic. And no matter whether you’re competing in chaotic mass races or simply exploring the stunning vistas of iconic US national parks, Riders Republic offers an unforgettable experience.

it comes with near endless possibilities, customizable characters, and thrilling gameplay, and so no wonder that this is a game that has captured the hearts of gamers everywhere.

This is a game that first released back in 2021, as we threw a 4/5 review score at it.

“Riders Republic on Xbox takes the basic framework of Steep and adds a whole load more to it to create a very fun arcade sports title”

You won’t want to miss this one as it lands on Game Pass, will you?

Multiple games leave Game Pass

But as Riders Republic drops in for some fun, we have to say goodbye to six other games. We’re not sure any of the following are going to be huge misses, but that’s not to say we haven’t had fun with Slime Rancher 2 and You Suck at Parking. Of course, FIFA 23 is about as old-hat as you can get…

Say goodbye to the following…

  • Ashes of Singularity: Escalation – PC
  • FIFA 23 – Cloud, Console, PC, EA Play
  • Payday 3 – Cloud, Console, and PC
  • Slime Rancher 2 – Cloud, Console, and PC
  • SpiderHeck – Cloud, Console, and PC
  • You Suck At Parking – Cloud, Console, and PC

Let us know if any of these games will be missed by you as they shift out of the Game Pass subscription service on the 15th. The comments are below.

What’s next for Game Pass?

There’a more coming to Game Pass soon too. Next week (that of w/c 16th Sept) adds in Train Sim World 5 as a Day One debutant. The hotly anticipated Frostpunk 2 will launch as another Day One Game Pass option on 20th September. The problem is this one will be PC only for a bit, with an Xbox Series X|S launch due later.

We’ll keep you looped as to further Game Pass changes as and when they happen.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
