The Game Pass line-up is expanding again this week, with three games arriving across the service – including a brand-new entry in the A Plague Tale universe.
There’s also a stylish aerial shooter and a dungeon survival game joining the mix, although one of the arrivals is a tier expansion rather than a completely new Game Pass debut. Still, new games, innit.

Aerial Action And Bloody Dungeons
First up is Aerial_Knight’s DropShot, which becomes available through Game Pass Premium on August 25th. The fast-paced action shooter is already part of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, so this week’s news is about the game becoming available to another tier of subscribers.
The game has players falling from the sky while taking on enemies, avoiding traps and attempting to reach the ground in one piece. We previously gave Aerial_Knight’s DropShot a 3/5 review score, finding that its central idea was fun, even if it didn’t quite have the staying power needed to become truly addictive.
Also arriving on August 25th is Blood Dungeon, available day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
From the creators of Nidhogg, Blood Dungeon mixes 2D platforming with survival gameplay, as players navigate dangerous dungeons, evade monsters and gather resources. Successful runs earn bones that can be spent in the Bone Shop, while quests unlock further upgrades, arenas and cosmetic options.
A New A Plague Tale Story
The biggest addition of the week is undoubtedly Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, launching day one for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on August 27th.
Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, the game follows Sophia as she searches for answers about her past. Her journey takes her to the mysterious Minotaur’s Island, where combat, puzzles and ancient mythology collide.
Players will need to evade enemies, master parries and survive dangerous encounters, while the story shifts between Sophia’s time and the ancient Minoan past. Exploration also plays a major role, with a stolen Minoan sphere allowing players to manipulate light and solve puzzles hidden throughout the island.
Another Busy Week For Game Pass
It’s a relatively focused update for Game Pass players this week, but there’s a good mix of games on offer. Blood Dungeon brings something completely new to the service, Aerial_Knight’s DropShot opens up to more subscribers, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is the major day one arrival that will likely attract the most attention.
