The Ultimate Edition of the game not only grants you early access, but also includes the Gears of War 4 Season Pass, which includes the exclusive Vintage VIP Pack, permanent access to 24 additional DLC maps – which are released every month for a year (2 a month), six Gear Packs, and also access to the Developer Playlist which allows you to test new maps, modes, and playlists before they go live. In Gears of War 4 you’ll be fighting to save your loved ones from an ominous, dangerous threat. Play as JD Fenix, son of the legendary Gears solider Marcus Fenix, and take on a monstrous new enemy. Team up with up to two player local co-op via split screen, and have your couch buddy take control of either Kait or Del. Alternatively if you want to play online co-op campaign, you can of course, do that as well.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Gears of War game without Horde. Horde 3.0 introduces skill and ability progression for the first time, before starting you will pick from five combat classes, each with unique special abilities. You and up to 4 others will fight off increasingly difficult waves of enemies, with a boss round every 10 waves. To help you out, you will be able to use a Fabricator, allowing you to build fortifications and defences anywhere on the map, at any time. This will surely help in those super sticky situations!
