Get creepy as Hello Neighbor 2 emerges from the shadows

hello neighbor 2

Remember when a release date was just that? When games ‘released’ on the street date intended? Well, we don’t need any of that old-school nonsense in 2022 and with the increasing desire for Deluxe Editions and ‘early access’ those release dates have fast changed up. It with that in which it brings us to the ‘launch’ of Hello Neighbor 2.

Available today on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, all thanks to the Deluxe Edition which gives some five days of early access ahead of the usual 6th Dec street date, Hello Neighbor 2 pretty much follows on the hide-and-seek vibes of the original game.

Should you wish to get in early, you’ll find that Hello Neighbor 2 Deluxe Edition will set you back some £49.99, as you look to get your stealth on, all in hope of uncovering the secrets of your creepy neighbor.

The thing with Hello Neighbor 2 – and the first game for that matter – is that of the AI-controlled opponent. This guy will learn from you and others, reacting and adapting to how you play, the patterns you make. It makes outsmarting the Neighbor all the trickier.

A game which will appeal massively to those who fell into the trap of the original Hello Neighbor, or, to a slightly lesser extent, to those who found joy in 2019’s Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek, Hello Neighbor 2 comes with the following key features…

  • – You have an entire town as your playground, with plenty of houses and AI-driven residents to interact with.
  • – The game feels like an investigative journalist simulator – sneak around and find out your neighbors’ secrets. Why does this moustached gentleman go down to the amusement park every night?
  • – Can you outsmart the AIs? Every character in Hello Neighbor 2 is powered by a neural network AI and learns from the players, doing everything in their power to protect their gated community and its secrets.
  • – Uncover the big mystery hidden in Raven Brooks!

If you have never played Hello Neighbor before then we’d probably advise that you hold tight for the Standard Edition of the game, as it hits Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC come 6th December. The fact that it’ll be powered by Game Pass will no doubt swing it.

But of course, if you’re a fan, get over to the Xbox Store right now, grab that Deluxe Edition and hide away in the shadows of the early access period right now. You’ll get some extra content thrown in too.

Just remember, never trust your neighbors.

Game Description:

Think you can you trust your neighbors? Think again. Hello Neighbor 2 is a stealth horror game about uncovering your creepy neighbor’s secrets. You are a journalist looking to solve the Neighbor’s case, since no one else dares to. Play against a complex opponent controlled by an advanced AI that learns from you and all the other players! As time passes and the Neighbor adapts to the players’ patterns, his own behavior will change and surprise you. Will you be the one to outsmart the Neighbor and find out what he’s hiding?
