Get digging and drilling with Year 4 and Season 13 of SnowRunner

Even though Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have gone all in with the release of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, there is still much love for that of SnowRunner which came before it. So much love in fact that it’s time to Dig & Drill with the arrival of Year 4 and Season 13 of SnowRunner content. 

If you’re a SnowRunner player, then we would guess you’ll have found use appeal with the previous seasons that have bulked out the game. But now it’s time for Season 13 to add in even more off-roading opportunities, running as free to all Year 4 Pass owners. 

Head to Almaty

It whisks us off to Almaty, a new hidden gem of a region that is found right in the very heart of Central Asia. From there, 10 new stickers accompany things, all as part of a free update. 

Dive in to Season 13 and Dig & Drill will see you working with the mining industry. You see, the authorities in southeast Kazakhstan need expert manpower for a bold new mining venture and are ready to invest and set up cutting-edge infrastructure. And guess what? That’s where you come in.

You’ll be left to help the region’s quarries kickstart their operations by bringing essential equipment, rebuilding their conveyor belts and haulage systems. Then, once production is up and running, you’ll need to help restore the region’s cargo airport and conduct geological surveys to complete the job.

New vehicles

Of course, for any form of success in SnowRunner, you’ll need some series gear – and that’s the case with Season 13 as two powerhouse vehicles arrive, helping you navigate Almaty’s rugged terrain, from the depth of its mineral deposits to the top of its mountain ranges.

First up is the PLAD 450, an 8×8 juggernaut equipped to handle even the toughest challenges that is sure to become a staple of any heavy duty fleet. Alongside that is the AAC-58DW, a versatile scouting SUV with exceptional geometry and weight distribution allowing it to take on mountainous terrain like never before.

SnowRunner Season 13 is the first of a four-part Year 4 for the game. Your best way of gaining access is by hitting up the digital store of your choosing and nabbing the Year 4 Pass. For us on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, that means paying up £19.99 from the Xbox Store. Alternatively, there is the SnowRunner – 4 Year Anniversary Edition for £87.49 – that includes the base game and all four Year Pass options to date.
