Step back into the golden age of gaming with Atari 50: THE NAMCO LEGENDARY PACK, the brand-new DLC bringing iconic Namco titles like PAC-MAN, GALAGA, DIG DUG, and XEVIOUS to modern consoles.

Available today on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, this ÂŁ6.69 expansion lets fans relive arcade history while exploring behind-the-scenes interviews, archival documents, and interactive timelines.

For the ultimate retro gaming experience, the Atari 50: Game + DLC Bundle combines the base game with all three DLC packs for ÂŁ43.49, offering the definitive Atari collection in one package.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

THE NAMCO LEGENDARY PACK expands Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration with Namco’s iconic arcade hits adapted for Atari consoles. Players can jump directly into classic games or explore them chronologically via Digital Eclipse’s signature interactive timeline.

This timeline includes developer interviews, rare documents, and period photos, offering an educational and immersive retrospective of Namco’s early partnership with Atari.

Matt Burnett, VP of Strategic Operations at Atari, said, “THE NAMCO LEGENDARY PACK not only celebrates our history of collaboration but also reflects our deep admiration for the Bandai Namco brand. This DLC lets players take a walk down memory lane, revisiting special moments from our shared history.”

Karim Farghaly, SVP of Business Innovation and Licensing at Bandai Namco Entertainment America, added, “Following the amazing reception to the Atari x PAC-MAN Collection, we’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with the release of THE NAMCO LEGENDARY PACK. The DLC, with its combination of games and interactive documentary content, is a must-have for fans.”

Console-First Releases And Rare Classics

Fans will enjoy three versions of Atari PAC-MAN – 2600, 5200, and Atari 8-bit – marking their first ever console re-release.

The pack also includes the U.S. arcade versions of DIG DUG and XEVIOUS, previously only available in Japan, alongside home console versions of GALAGA, GALAXIAN, XEVIOUS, and DIG DUG. This makes the DLC a treasure trove for retro enthusiasts and collectors.

Revisiting Atari 50

Our review of the base game awarded Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration 4/5, noting: “Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is so much more than a simple compilation. It really feels like a celebration, allowing you to explore interactive timelines and to learn new things about a legendary videogame company. And then having the games alongside the stories, interviews and artwork allows you to drop in whenever you feel like it. Or you could bypass this altogether and head straight for the games. There are classics, some not so classics, some old, some new, some borrowed and some blue, but you can be sure that Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is a fitting collection for a company with such a fabled history.”

THE NAMCO LEGENDARY PACK adds new depth to the original experience, combining fun gameplay with a historical look at Namco’s formative work on Atari platforms.

Bundle Option For The Full Atari 50 Experience

For those seeking everything in one collection, the Atari 50: Game + DLC Bundle for ÂŁ43.49 includes:

This bundle provides the ultimate retro experience, perfect for collectors or fans wanting every piece of Atari’s storied history in one place.

THE NAMCO LEGENDARY PACK is available now from the usual stores (the Xbox Store for instance), giving fans a chance to experience these legendary titles like never before. Watch the launch trailer below and step into a colourful piece of gaming history.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
