We’re pretty well versed at escaping all manner of outcomes as gamers, and so being tasked to find a way out of a dungeon, or die trying, is nothing out of the ordinary. But then, there’s something intriguing about Dungeon Escape: Console Edition that will see us giving it a go anyways – even if there are some serious Super Meat Boy vibes popping out.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, along with PS4 and Nintendo Switch options, Dungeon Escape: Console Edition is eastasiasoft’s latest cheap and cheerful platformer, one that makes a move to console after spending a good few years over on PC.Â
Priced at £4.19, the Console Edition of Dungeon Escape pretty much does exactly the same as its PC brother, throwing us gamers into a trap-filled dungeon and then being tasked with making our escape. With enemies aplenty and traps covering every inch of land, only by utilising nimble fingers and a cunning mind will you ever really find safety within. And even then, once you’ve grabbed enough keys to unlock the escape doors, the next screen and stage promises to deliver more of the same.Â
Expect to be found dying over and over again in Dungeon Escape: Console Edition, as you learn from your mistakes and work your skills to new levels at every opportunity. It’s only then when you’ll really be able to understand the draw of Dungeon Escape: Console Edition.
