In Cat Souls, you’ll be playing as Ruby, who discovered the mythical Hourglass of Time on a recent excursion with her friend. Unfortunately, disaster struck as enemies appeared out of nowhere and attacked the poor felines.
Only Ruby managed to escape, with just 7 of her remaining lives and decided to embark on a brand new adventure to rescue her friend and get the Hourglass of Time back!
The game is a 2D platformer from prolific indie publishing team Ratalaika Games, who have recently released REPLIKATOR and Little Disaster.
Unique gameplay
You’ll battle through 45 levels, all rendered in colourful pixel art and featuring a variety of platforms, obstacles and enemies. You’ll have to jump, avoid obstacles, use levers, and collect keys to reach the end of each level in time.
Cat Souls on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC boasts a variety of mechanics. You’ll be able to hide from monsters in dark alleyways, time your jumps to avoid rotating blades, switch up platforms at a click of a button to reach previously unreachable areas and even stick to the bottom of platforms for a different perspective.
Cat Souls boasts a truly unique gameplay aspect. You start off each level with seven lives, which you can convert into a past soul to be used as a platform to help cross perilous gaps full of spikes. The spikes will only take one of your lives, but you need to be careful not to waste them all before you complete the level.

Game Description
