UNO Flex – out now!

Playing UNO is usually about having the right card at the right time. UNO FLEX! takes that idea and gives it a little more bite, because now some of those cards have another trick hiding on the other side.

Available for ÂŁ4.29 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, UNO FLEX! adds new mechanics that could turn a comfortable lead into a very uncomfortable few seconds.

At A Glance

  • Game: UNO FLEX!
  • Developer: Ubisoft
  • Publisher: Ubisoft
  • Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S
  • Price: ÂŁ4.29
  • Genre: Card Game

When A Card Has A Trick Up Its Sleeve

The big change in UNO FLEX! comes from the Flex cards. These have an alternate side that can change their colour or trigger a different effect, giving you another option when your hand isn’t looking particularly healthy.

But there is a catch. You can’t simply FLEX whenever you fancy it. Your Power determines when you’re able to activate that alternate side, meaning timing becomes a much bigger part of the game.

That could make those moments when you’re desperately looking for a way out of a bad hand rather more interesting.

FLEX, Draw And Cause Some Trouble

UNO FLEX! also introduces a collection of new Action cards designed to make life considerably harder for everyone else.

The Flex Draw Two makes all other players draw one card, while Flex Wild Draw Four lets you target a specific opponent. There’s also Flex Wild All Draw, which makes everyone else pick up two cards, and Flex Skip, which skips every player at once.

In other words, if you thought regular UNO could cause arguments around the table, FLEX! certainly isn’t here to calm things down.

More UNO In One Package

If ÂŁ4.29 for UNO FLEX! isn’t enough UNO for you, there’s also the option to pick up the UNO Legacy Edition for ÂŁ17.99. That bundles together the standard UNO experience with UNO Flip!, UNO 50th Anniversary, UNO Party! Mania!, UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy! and UNO FLEX!.

There’s also the UNO Ultimate Edition for ÂŁ24.99, which includes all of that content alongside UNO Valhalla, The Call of Yara DLC, Fenyx’s Quest, the Just Dance theme and UNO Rayman.

Not sure whether you should be jumping in with the Legacy Edition or Ultimate Edition? We’re here to help you out.

So whether you’re after the new FLEX! mechanics on their own or want to build up a considerably larger UNO collection, there are a few ways to play your cards.

For ÂŁ4.29, UNO FLEX! gives the familiar card game a new set of possibilities. Just make sure you’ve got enough Power left when the perfect opportunity to FLEX finally comes around.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
