Multi award-winning and critically acclaimed, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is coming to console. After missing an early-2022 launch, today the teams at Owlcat Games and Prime Matter fully detail exactly when that will be.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will see you embarking on a journey like no other, heading to a realm that has been overrun by demons as the epic RPG begins to play out. From the same makers as those behind Pathfinder: Kingmaker, and based on Paizo Publishing’s tabletop Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will let you explore the nature of good and evil, learn the true cost of power, and rise as a Mythic Hero capable of deeds beyond mortal expectations.

It focuses on the realm of Sarkoris, destroyed when Areelu Vorlesh, a scholar and practitioner of forbidden magics, opened a rift to the abyssal planes of existence, and hordes of demons invaded the world of Golarion. Led by the evil Demon Lords Deskari and Baphomet, the abyssal forces crushed all who stood against them, turning Sarkoris into a demon‑infested land now known as the Worldwound. Join the Crusade against the demonic invasion and rise as a new hero wielding unimaginable powers in this classic cRPG. The fate of this world lies in your hands.

If that blurb sounds like your cup of tea, then you should be excited to know that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will be releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch come September 29th 2022. It’ll arrive both physically and digitally on Xbox and PlayStation with the Enhanced Edition of the game becoming the standard.

Should you be on PC and already own the game, that same version will arrive for free to you.

Further to that, the Treasure of the Midnight Isles DLC has also been confirmed. That will hit PC on August 11th 2022, as the third premium DLC pack for the game sees you board a grim cursed ship before venturing out into the unknown.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous key features will include:

  • Explore the vast archipelago full of treasures and dangers in a stand-alone rogue-like mode, or as a part of the main campaign
  • Try out different builds and party compositions, taking advantage of the enormous variety of the Pathfinder role-playing system – including the mythic paths
  • Death is just a setback! If a party perishes, its progress can still help you in subsequent playthroughs
  • Equip new magic weapons, put new magic potions and scrolls on your belt, and challenge both old and new enemies
  • Discover the secret of the ship that takes you on your journeys – and the truth about the ultimate treasure you’re seeking

Get ready for September 29th by taking in the trailer below. If you can’t wait that long, you’ll be able to find Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous in the Epic Games Store Summer Sale.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
