If you cast your mind all the way back to early 2016, you will remember that the popular manga and anime series Attack on Titan made its first foray into gaming with Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom. Well, Eren and the gang are back, as deadly as ever, with today’s release of A.O.T. 2!
Once more, Eren and his comrades will be attempting to save the entirety of humanity from the freakishly huge, man-eating Titans. The story being told will take place both during and after the events of Wings of Freedom, adapting more of the hit anime series and telling the tale from a new perspective. Much like the original, you will be darting around the wide, open expanses you find yourself in using the omni-directional mobility gear, and countering the Titans you have to kill.
Anyone who felt that Wings of Freedom was lacking something will be glad to hear that the whole campaign will be playable alongside a co-op buddy, and the addition of a character creator is a welcome one.
A.O.T. 2 will come in two editions, with the standard release and the Deluxe Edition. The latter gives players some extra outfits to kit their characters out in for £89.99, but if you just want the vanilla experience then £54.99 will be what you need to pay. You will find yourself treated to Xbox One X enhancements for that price though.
