Duck Detective the Ghost of Glamping – out now!

The world’s most bread-obsessed, maritally-challenged waterfowl investigator is back on the beat in Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping.

The delightful follow-up to the indie hit Duck Detective: The Secret Salami, officially launches today.

Developed and published by Happy Broccoli Games, this cozy “no-murder” mystery is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam & GOG).

The Detective Returns… to a Haunted (and Glamorous?) Campsite

When spookiness strikes a luxury campsite, there’s only one detective to call: Eugene McQuacklin, the one and only Duck Detective! Prepare to inspect evidence, make some serious “de-duck-tions,” and solve a brand-new standalone mystery.

This time, our feathered P.I. finds himself at a luxury campsite where things have gone decidedly pear-shaped. There might be ghosts, but the real thing haunting Eugene is still his failed marriage and an insatiable bread addiction.

To the Duck Detective’s (initial) annoyance, he’s also joined by a new partner in (solving) crime. Together, they must unravel the truth behind the campsite’s strange occurrences and nibble on the crumbs of justice!

The game promises a humorous spin on deduction puzzlers like The Return of the Obra Dinn, challenging players to interview a cast of suspiciously secretive, fully voice-acted characters, inspect evidence, and fill in the blanks to crack the case.

Our Verdict: Another Feather in Eugene’s Cap – A 4/5 Hit!

We’ve already had the pleasure of waddling through this charming mystery, and we’re thrilled to report it’s another winner! In our full 4/5 review of Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping, we said:

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping serves up another lovable, cozy mystery fronted by rising star, Eugene McQuacklin. It may be a short story, but it’s thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

Building on a Beloved, Critically Acclaimed Original

The first game, Duck Detective: The Secret Salami, was a massive indie success, garnering over 4,000 “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam and widespread critical acclaim for its unique charm and clever deduction gameplay.

The Ghost of Glamping builds on this beloved formula, offering a standalone adventure that’s perfect for both returning fans and newcomers to Eugene’s world.
