Ghostrunner gets new free and paid content as the Metal Ox arrives

You may be outnumbered in Ghostrunner, but you’ll never be outclassed – particularly now that some new free and paid DLC has turned up in game.

Present and correct now, and following on from the previously available Winter Pack, is the Metal Ox DLC pack, and that of a number of free additions via the latest update for the game. These freebies come in the form of a Kill Run Mode which will see you attempting to slay enemies in order to build a timer, dashing through various sections and showing your style as best you can.

There is also a new Photo Mode, you know, because ALL games NEED a Photo Mode now. This does as the name suggests, letting you break the fourth wall like never before.

But then we have the paid DLC – the Metal Ox Pack. Priced at £3.99, this has been inspired by the Chinese Year of the Ox, bringing together four brand new customised Katana and Glove sets to the cybervoid of Ghostrunner. In all, you’ll see the following included in the pack…

  • • The Rite Sword and Glove Set
  • • The Benevolence Sword and Glove Set
  • • The Justice Sword and Glove Set
  • • The Integrity Sword and Glove Set

With the Ghostrunner base game to hand, you’ll be able to take home the latest update for the game right now, no matter whether you are playing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (Xbox Store link), PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC through Steam or the Epic Games Store. There will be a fully optimised version of the game hitting next gen consoles (Xbox Series X|S and PS5) later this year, whilst a physical edition of the Nintendo Switch game will roll out in June (25th for Europe, 29th for the US).

If you haven’t yet played the game, and fancy a super stylish yet hardcore FPP set in a grim cyberpunk land, grab yourself Ghostrunner from the usual stores.

DLC Description:

Ghostrunner is a hardcore FPP game packed with lightning-fast action, set in a grim, cyberpunk megastructure. Climb Dharma Tower, humanity’s last shelter, after a world-ending cataclysm. Make your way up from the bottom to the top, confront the tyrannical Keymaster, and take your revenge. Increase your cosmetic inventory even further with the Metal Ox Pack. Inspired by the Chinese ‘Year of the Ox’ and Confucianism virtues, the Metal Ox Pack brings 4 brand new customised Katana and Glove sets to the Cybervoid!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
