Git gud with Dark Souls Remastered on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC

We’ve all played Dark Souls. Whether it be for for five minutes before realising our skills aren’t up to the task, or for eternity as we try to battle it out with the toughest demons the gaming world has ever seen, it’s been a staple diet for many a gamer. Now though it’ll soon be time to delve into the world of Dark Souls like never before, as Dark Souls Remastered has been announced.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC from the 25th May 2018, Bandai Namco are asking players to head back in to the mysterious land of Lordran with Dark Souls Remastered.

Debuting on a Nintendo platform, utilising the portability of Switch and being further enhanced thanks to the power of Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, Remastered promises to be something special.

You’ll get to experience the rich world of Dark Souls in upscaled 4K resolution with 60FPS when playing on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC, with a 1080p resolution and 30FPS available via Switch and its TV mode. From their first timid steps to absolute mastery, players will build their characters by strategically adapting to daunting foes, exploring haunting locations, and amassing a large collection of weapons, armour and magic spells to utilise for a truly unique playstyle.

Dark Souls Remastered will have nine online covenants ready to be uncovered in order to motivate your online interactions. Collaboration or confrontation, support or betrayal – which allegiance will you choose? Up to six players can join together online to help, or hurt, each other throughout their quest.

We will of course remind you when May comes around, but should you be looking for a reason to head on in to the toughest gaming series known to man, then the Remastered enhancements should be more than enough.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
