It may be a fair few years old, but the treacherous journey through the depths of hell in Dante’s Inferno could probably still hold up today. Given that it’s now free via the Games With Gold scheme, there’s no better time to check it out, right?
Dante’s Inferno is a third-person action adventure based on a section of the classic poem by Dante Alighieri, “The Divine Comedy”. The main protagonist is a Templar Knight, Dante, who must venture through the nine circles of hell: limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery. Each circle features its own distinct environments, a variety of enemies and differing story elements, and Dante will face them with a mighty Scythe and the Holly Cross that has special powers. But why’s he making this hellish journey? To seek and rescue the soul of his beloved Beatrice!
A ticket to hell in Dante’s Inferno usually costs £14.99 to procure, but from now until 30th November it gets completely stripped of its price tag for Xbox Live Gold members due to Games With Gold. This means you can download the Xbox 360 title from the Microsoft Store for free and then play it on the aforementioned console or on Xbox One. The choice is yours…
