Wild West Supermarket Simulator – out now on Xbox, PlayStation, PC

Running a supermarket isn’t exactly the first thing that springs to mind when you think of the Wild West. Cowboys, outlaws and gold prospectors? Absolutely. Restocking shelves and adjusting prices? Not so much. Yet that’s exactly the unusual blend Wild West Supermarket Simulator brings to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, and it’s available now for ÂŁ12.49. It’s far from Red Dead Redemption 2 feels…

Fresh out of Steam Early Access with its full 1.0 release, the latest management sim from Toplitz Productions and SunDust challenges players to turn a forgotten general store into the beating heart of a once-booming frontier town.

More Than Just Stocking Shelves

Set during the Gold Rush in 1850, you inherit what should have been a thriving general store. There’s just one problem – the gold has dried up, the townsfolk have disappeared and the business is hanging by a thread.

Success starts with the basics. Order supplies, unpack deliveries, arrange your shelves and keep customers happy. As profits begin to roll in, you’ll expand your shop, hire staff to take care of the day-to-day jobs and gradually transform both your business and the town around it.

With more than 70 products available – ranging from food and tools to weapons and furniture – there’s plenty to manage as supply, demand and pricing constantly shift.

Help Bring A Ghost Town Back To Life

Unlike many supermarket simulators, your success doesn’t stop at the front door.

As your business grows, so does the surrounding town. More shops open, new customers arrive with different shopping habits, and fresh opportunities appear to expand your retail empire even further. Before long, you could be running multiple buildings while creating a bustling commercial district where there was once little more than tumbleweed.

Away from the shop floor, there’s even time to decorate your own hillside home or take a break with side activities including tomahawk throwing competitions and shooting range challenges.

The Definitive Edition Arrives On Console

Wild West Supermarket Simulator has spent the past year growing through Steam Early Access, with community feedback helping shape everything from shelf management to customer behaviour and quality-of-life improvements.

Now, with the arrival of Version 1.0, console players can finally jump in as the game makes its debut on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, complete with controller optimisations, polished mechanics and all of the improvements added throughout development. PC players also receive the full launch version alongside the console release.

If you’ve been looking for another cosy management game with a slightly different setting, Wild West Supermarket Simulator certainly fits the bill. The Xbox Store awaits. As does Steam. And so does the PlayStation Store.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. This game is extremely buggy in one specific way I have found so far. If you order more than 2 or 3 items at a time, meaning 2 or 3 individual packages, it only spawns 2 or 3 packages, instead of the 10 packages you ordered.
