Mini-golf is supposed to be relaxing. A gentle swing, a carefully judged putt and perhaps a little celebration when the ball finally drops into the hole. Golftacular! has apparently decided that all of that sounds far too sensible.
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, Golftacular! takes the familiar idea of mini-golf and gleefully sends it off the fairway. With bizarre characters, ridiculous items, multiplayer mayhem and enough chaos to make a simple putt feel like an international incident, this is golf with absolutely no intention of behaving itself.

Mini-Golf With Absolutely No Respect for Tradition
At its core, Golftacular! is still about getting your ball into the hole. But the journey between tee and cup can get considerably stranger. Don’t think of this as anything near what is served up in the more sensible PGA Tour games.
Up to four players can take part, choosing from a wonderfully odd collection of characters including Tortillo, Chuck, Fin, Poop, Papa, Mama, Claude and Frend. From there, the aim is simple enough – take turns, make your shots and try to come out on top.
The problem, of course, is everyone else.
Golftacular! is packed with items designed to turn carefully planned rounds into glorious disasters. Players can call in airstrikes, create portals, give their balls wings and generally interfere with anything – or anyone – standing in their way. Because why settle for a nice clean putt when you can cause absolute havoc instead?
Thousands of Ways to Cause Trouble
The sheer variety of items and combinations is designed to keep rounds unpredictable, with players able to experiment with abilities that can transform the course into something completely different.
One moment you may be plotting the perfect route to the hole. The next, someone has changed the situation entirely and your carefully considered strategy has gone straight into the rough.
That unpredictability looks set to be a major part of Golftacular!’s appeal. Precision still matters, but so does knowing when to play an item, when to cause chaos and, perhaps most importantly, when to expect somebody else to ruin your plans.
A Party Game for the Sofa
Golftacular! supports up to four players and includes a pass-and-play option too, meaning you don’t necessarily need a controller for everyone in the room.
There is also plenty for solo players, with single-player puzzles providing a different way to tackle the game’s courses and challenges.
With dozens of handcrafted courses, a huge range of potential item combinations and a cast of characters that appears to have escaped from somebody’s very strange sketchbook, there’s plenty here beyond simply playing a standard round of mini-golf.
And with its original soundtrack along for the ride, Golftacular! seems determined to make every match feel more like a party than a polite trip to the local crazy golf course.

Golftacular! comes to consoles after previously launching on Steam in 2025, where the reviews currently available have been Positive.
Now it’s time for Xbox players to get involved, with the game available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Play Anywhere, as well as PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
At £8.39 on the Xbox Store, Golftacular! looks to offer a distinctly untraditional take on mini-golf. Forget quiet concentration and gentlemanly applause – this is a game where portals, airstrikes and winged golf balls can apparently be just as important as your putting ability.
