We have already had the profound pleasure of playing through Isaac’s story, and we were completely blown away. In our perfect 5/5 review of Goodnight Universe, we had nothing but praise, concluding:

What I do care about is having an uplifting and emotionally twisted story that makes me consider the lives of all those found in-game. The journey to this launch has been an exciting one. It was back in July that we first got wind of this unique premise, when we reported that Goodnight Universe from the BAFTA-winning creators of Before Your Eyes would be launching this November.
Now, that day is finally here, and it has exceeded all our expectations.
What is Goodnight Universe?
In Goodnight Universe, you play as Isaac, a 6-month-old baby. As you begin to develop mysterious and powerful psychic abilities, you find yourself fighting a war on two fronts: mending the rifts that are growing between your family members, and scuttling the plans of a secretive tech corporation that wants you for their own.
The game’s predecessor, Before Your Eyes, was famous for its innovative “camera as controller” functionality. While Goodnight Universe uses this in new and inventive ways on PC, it is crucial for Xbox players to know that the camera control functionality is not supported on Xbox or PlayStation.
As our 5/5 review states, this takes nothing away from the power of the game, as the core mechanics that remain are more than strong enough to make this a masterpiece.
