Gorgeous cinematic adventure Forgotton Anne launches on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

-

What has Anne forgotten? We’re not sure really but when a game look this good it’s just got to be played!

Available to purchase and download right now, Forgotton Anne comes bursting on to Xbox One, PS4 and PC thanks to the team at the Square Enix Collective, as they attempt to deliver a dazzling, story-driven, hand-crafted 2D cinematic adventure focused on the mysterious Forgotten Lands: the hidden dimension where all mislaid items from the human world all linger.

A stunning world awaits, as you delve in to an adventure which will have you testing your puzzle solving skills, harnessing the power of Anima and eventually helping guide Anne home. What’s more, it comes with a stunning orchestral score direct from the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.

“There are few games that stand out in the way Forgotton Anne does,” says Phil Elliott, Director of Indie Publishing at Square Enix West. “It really does screen anime. If you pause in play, you’d swear you were watching an animation rather than playing a game, yet the story the plays out is one so delicate, so captivating, it deserves to be housed in such striking surroundings. It really is one of the most stunning games we’ve ever put out.”

“It’s great to have seen anime fans really take to Forgotton Anne over the course of its development,” says Alfred Nguyen, Creative Director and Co-founder of ThroughLine Games. “Whenever you’re watching a quality animation, there’s always the desire to get in there and interact with it. We wanted to take that desire and build on it, delivering a quality platform puzzler that brings life to what we think is an engaging story.”

If you like the look of Forgotton Anne and are tempted in, then you can pick it up right now from a digital store of your choice. Us Xbox One gamers will find it for £15.99 from the Microsoft Store, but Anne is also rocking up on PS4 and PC too.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
