A New Dimension Of Danger
The illagers are up to no good once more, and their latest scheme threatens to plunge the Overworld into corruption. This time, heroes must venture through a mysterious rift into the Sift, an uncharted dimension filled with unfamiliar dangers, secrets and striking environments.
There’s a bigger adventure waiting beyond that gateway, with explosive battles against formidable enemies and plenty of loot to chase. Players can also customise their equipment and playstyle as they prepare for the threats ahead.
Team Up Or Go It Alone
One of the original Minecraft Dungeons’ biggest draws was its multiplayer action, and the sequel is once again making room for friends and family to join the fight.
Whether you prefer to head out alone, share the sofa with a friend, team up online or mix local and online co-op, Minecraft Dungeons II gives players several ways to tackle the adventure. Matchmaking is also available for those looking to find fellow heroes.
That should make it easier to gather a party before heading into the Sift, although there’s nothing stopping you from taking on the illagers solo.
Standard Or Deluxe – Which Edition Should You Choose?
Minecraft Dungeons II launches with a Standard Edition priced at £24.99, alongside a £44.99 Deluxe Edition. The latter includes four hero skins, the Soul cape, the Blub pet and the first two DLC packs.
For those who already own the Standard Edition, a separate Deluxe Edition upgrade is available for £19.99.
A New Chapter For Minecraft’s Dungeon Crawler
We took a look at the original Minecraft Dungeons back in 2020, describing it as a fun but flawed dungeon crawler. Our review praised its combat, level design, aesthetics and humour, while noting that its difficulty curve and progression could have been stronger.
Now, Minecraft Dungeons II has a new dimension to explore, fresh threats to overcome and another chance to gather a group of friends for some loot-filled adventures. With day one access through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, there’s a new journey waiting for returning heroes and newcomers alike.
Stay tuned for our review.
