Detective Collection Bundle
The Detective Collection Bundle on Xbox

Have you ever wanted to trade your controller for a detective’s notepad, piecing together clues and cracking a case wide open? If the allure of a good mystery gets your pulse racing, then a new dossier has just landed on the Xbox Store that demands your attention.

Launching right now on Xbox, the DETECTIVE – Collection bundles three gripping deduction games into a single, value-driven package.

For a one-time fee of £19.74, you get access to a trio of cases that will test your wits across scenarios ranging from gritty realism to futuristic conspiracy, all playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The Lead Investigators: K148 Game Studio & JanduSoft

Before we examine the evidence, let’s credit the investigators behind the scenes. The developer/publisher duo of K148 Game Studio and JanduSoft have been steadily building a solid reputation on Xbox for delivering these focused, puzzle-box detective experiences. With a series that continues to grow – including the recently released (but not included here in this bundle) DETECTIVE – Scene Crime – they’ve proven their commitment to the genre. This collection serves as a perfect introduction to their work.

Your Case Files: What’s in the Collection?

This bundle contains three complete, standalone investigations. Based on our own case notes, it’s a remarkably consistent offering, with each game having earned a solid 3.5/5 score from us.

Case File #1: Stella Porta Case

Your first assignment involves investigating three disappearances all linked to a mysterious and sinister organisation. This case is a great starting point, focusing on finding clues and arranging them on a timeline to solve the mystery.

We’ve been hands-on with Stella Porta and in our 3.5/5 review, we called it a “great little distraction from other, bigger gaming experiences,” praising its simple premise and bold, “mad as a box of frogs” ending.

Case File #2: The Motel

Next, you’ll check in for a murder investigation where every room holds a secret. This entry was a standout for its open-ended nature.

Our 3.5/5 review of The Motel noted it “offers a refreshing change of pace for the franchise,” praising its focus on “player agency and open-ended exploration.

It’s a rewarding challenge for those who enjoy being left to their own deductive devices without any hand-holding.

Case File #3: Minerva Case

Your final case transports you to the year 2068 for a sci-fi conspiracy involving a rogue AI and the death of a hacker. This futuristic mystery proved to be a compelling and concise adventure.

In our 3.5/5 review of Minerva Case, we found it to be “both addictive and compelling,” highlighting that it runs “nice and short as you are able to complete things in just under an hour, grabbing 1000 Gamerscore in the process.

The Verdict: Is This Bundle Worth Investigating?

The evidence is overwhelming: this is a fantastic deal. If you were to purchase these three cases individually, it would cost you over £28. The bundle price of £19.74 saves you a significant amount. More importantly, this isn’t a collection padded out with lesser titles. Our reviews confirm that all three games are consistently strong, each earning a solid 3.5/5 score.

You’re getting three proven detective adventures that offer real variety. From the more traditional investigation in Stella Porta Case, to the player-driven freedom of The Motel, and the futuristic flair of Minerva Case, there’s a style here to suit any armchair detective.

So, the evidence has been presented, the witnesses (our reviews) have been heard, and the value is clear. If you’re ready to put your deductive skills to the test, your first three assignments are waiting.

The DETECTIVE – Collection is available to download right now on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for £19.74.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
