GravaStar’s Sirius Plus Earbuds Aim for Audio Excellence
If the recent marketing drive from Microsoft is to be believed, then pretty much ‘Everything is an Xbox’. And with that in mind, there’s no better accompaniment to your gaming setup in 2025 than a good pair of wireless earbuds.
Enter GravaStar – certainly no strangers in this space – with their latest offering, the Sirius Plus. Sporting a pretty unique-looking steampunk style, as well as putting up some decent battery life numbers, do these noise-cancelling earbuds have what it takes to compete with the big boys in their class?
Well, dear-reader – I’m happy to report that GravaStar have pretty much knocked it out of the park with this one, certainly when taking the price into account.

Steampunk Style and Satisfying Latches
Continuing their tradition of unique looks to all their products, for the Sirius Plus offering GravaStar have taken the case from 2022’s Sirius Pro earbuds; that being a very steampunky, admittedly bulky case with an oh-so satisfying latch to press in order to release your buds from their home. I’ve lost count at how many times I’ve found myself compulsively hitting the latch for a quick hit of dopamine, but thankfully enough effort must be put in to ensure you won’t be doing this accidentally.
You can also cycle through six accent colours that are built into the case itself, by hitting a button on the case to light up the LED. However, this light turns off after five minutes. That in itself sums up the design philosophy of GravaStar, where things are done just because they look cool. Just take a look at their Mars Pro Bluetooth Speaker to see what I mean, so those looking for a sleek and inconspicuous look to their earbuds may want to look elsewhere.
GravaStar Sirius Plus’ Design and Sound Quality
Whilst the case itself comes in three flavours – Black (the one we’ve been using), White and the striking War Damaged Yellow – thankfully the buds are a little bit more simple in their colourway: I’m not sure how many would want to strut around sporting bright-yellow earbuds, so the decision to keep the buds themselves pretty muted seems to be a good one.
They aren’t too bulky in the ear, either – a particular bug-bear of some of the more unique players in the space. As is standard nowadays, GravaStar provides buyers with three different silicon tips to try out for size, ensuring you can find the perfect fit every time. They will struggle to be dislodged even during the most intense of exercise, ensuring that New Years’ resolution to start running won’t need to be forgotten about!
But as much fun you can have with the design of the Sirius Plus earbuds, that’s nothing if the output is weak. Luckily, all is fine and dandy in this department, and in fact I’ve learned to love the sound profile that these little guys have. The 10mm Dynamic Drivers found within emit a deep, heavy bass that is capable of shaking you to your core, and yet you can still pick up on the subtleties within any piece of music you put your ears to. Whilst you can switch between Game and Music modes on the fly, I must admit that there’s really no discernible difference to my ears here, however I’m sure some seasoned audiophiles might be able to tell me otherwise.

Intuitive Touch Controls and Effective Noise Cancellation
As the rapidity of life often leaves us in a rush with little time to take our phones out of our pocket to mess about with our media playing, a highly important element of earbuds today is the ability to control things with a few taps of the buds. Too many times have we had to criticise buds for poor touch reception, whether by way of the touchpad being way too small, or the actions being too complicated to remember. Luckily, such an issue is not present with the Sirius Plus buds, with the entirety of the outwardly-facing face of the bud being a touchpad, allowing for pretty easy manoeuvring through songs, answering calls, or switching between the aforementioned Game and Music modes. Yes, it may take a while to remember just how many presses of which bud, for how long, perform which action, but you’ll soon get the hang of it.
It’s a truth of where the earbuds space finds itself now, that if you don’t include active noise cancelling (ANC) then you are quickly falling behind. Luckily, the Sirius Plus set offers not just ANC, but also a transparency mode that ensures you can listen out into the real world whilst still remaining immersed in the much more interesting virtual world. The ANC leaves little to be desired, too, and as I sit here in a coffee shop writing these words, a prolonged press of either bud can shut off pretty much all sound – only chatter from the table next to me can be heard.
GravaStar Sirius Plus Delivers for Portable Play
And it is therefore easy to recommend the Sirius Plus for those looking for a new set of earbuds to use when gaming away from their Xbox. Whether it’s just your phone to hand, or you’ve decided to upgrade to a gaming peripheral like the Razer Kishi or Turtle Beach Atom, the Sirius Plus will ensure you can get lost in whatever gaming experience you are currently addicted to, wherever you are.
Unfortunately, you will have to manually disconnect the earbuds before pairing to another device (for example, if you are going from your laptop to your phone and back), but as soon as you are connected on a device, you won’t find any random disconnects, apart from the odd second or two here and there. Given the high bass output from the Sirius Plus, every shot in a fast-paced match of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is sharp, and the ability to figure out the direction of footsteps is impressive, yet these will also be great for more laid-back gaming experiences that portable gaming is most attuned to.

Long-Lasting Power
GravaStar’s Sirius Plus boasts seven hours of battery life without ANC and volume at 70%, with a total of 28 hours when you accompany this with the full charge found within the case. It also only takes a couple of hours to charge up the case to full, via USB-C charging. Even with ANC activated all the time, you’ll struggle to drain these earbuds of their battery. Do not fear – even the longest multi-hour sessions of Balatro which I have definitely not partaken in will always be supported by the Sirius Plus!
Excellent Value and Performance for Gamers and Music Lovers Alike
With a price that is near-on half of that of the top-dogs like AirPods and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds, you’d be hard-pressed to find better value-for-money in this space than the GravaStar Sirius Plus buds. So long as you can look past the pretty bulky, fairly funky case the Sirius Plus buds will be transported in, and aren’t bothered about having to manually pair when you are connecting to a different device, I couldn’t recommend these little buds much more.
Gaming through Game Pass, music, podcasts, running, walking – you name it, you’ll be happy to do it accompanied by the Sirius Plus from GravaStar.
Huge thanks go out to GravaStar for providing the Sirius Plus for review. Grab some for yourself from GravaStar direct – the black ones we’ve been using will set you back £79.99, whilst the war damaged yellow ones are a little more expensive.
