2026's Best Games

If there’s one feather in the cap of Xbox, it’s that of Ori. Ori and the Blind Forest, and its sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps, are some of the best platforming experiences that can be had in gaming, period. As such, it’s no surprise that others want to capitalise on this, and Greak: Memories of Azur have given it a good go. And it’s that game which is now available on Xbox One and PS4.

Previously releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and Switch – the review for the former can be found here – it left some wondering why the 2D platformer hadn’t trickled down to the, albeit less powerful, Xbox One and PS4 consoles. Well, wonder no longer, as Navegante Entertainment’s title is here at last, and with the Team17 name attached, you should probably give Greak: Memories of Azur a look.

Greek follows the plight of three siblings who are having their homeland destroyed, and must escape using their unique magical powers. In order to solve puzzles and traverse the landscapes – which have clearly taken inspiration from Ori and co – players will alternate quickly between the siblings.

As well as puzzle solving and sibling-switching, features include:

  • Hand-Drawn Art and Animation: Enjoy a captivating narrative telling a story of family, home, and union, all brought to life with stunning hand-drawn art
  • Specially Crafted Puzzles: Players will solve intricate puzzles to navigate the world of Azur, using the three siblings’ unique abilities to flee the threat
  • Unique Gameplay: Each sibling boasts their own powers and abilities, and players will alternate seamlessly between the trio to best navigate the world
  • Live Orchestra Soundtrack: Enjoy the expressive and atmospheric music themes specially created to enhance this unique adventure.

Xbox One and PS4 players will also be treated to some brand-new content only seen before on PC – including a new boss fight, and improved map and accessibility options, which we always like to see. Xbox Series X|S players will also have these additions added to their game today, with these improvements rolling out to PS5 and Switch players next year.

Greak: Memories of Azur is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One – payment of £15.99 is all that is required in the Xbox Store. It must also be said that Xbox Series X|S or PS5 owners of the game will get the Xbox One or PS4 editions free of charge.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
