Dutch Warcraft III international tournament champion Manuel Grubby Schönhausen has revealed his top five gameplay mechanics in Dota 2 that he finds particularly appealing. He shares his opinion in this YouTube video.
Where to tweak mechanics
Grubby revealed that some mechanics in Valve’s MOBA are familiar to him from Warcraft. Schönhausen liked the Smoke of Deceit item best, as well as the build reinforcement and ransom functions.
He noted that, when used correctly, they give a team the ability to turn the game in their favour when they lose in the course of a match. In addition to these, Grubby noted the mechanics of lusthits and denials, as well as defending structures when no allied creeps are around.
Schönhausen started playing Dota 2 in August 2022. He underwent a ranking calibration in September, which resulted in one of the lowest ranks, Recruit 5 (Herold V). According to Grubby, he has now reached the rank of ‘Hero’ (Archon).
The best mechanics in Dota 2 according to Grubby:
- Smoke of Deceit forays;
- Reinforcing structures;
- Bypasses;
- Debuffing enemy and allied creeps;
- Backdoor Protection.
Grubby: Dota 2 is one of the best games ever made
In addition, Manuel Grubby Schönhausen has given his opinion on the importance of Dota 2 bet online. The cyber-sportsman shared his opinion during a private broadcast on Twitch.
“Would I recommend Dota 2? It’s in the top 3 of the best games I’ve ever played. It is also one of the best games ever made. I don’t think it has a low entry threshold for new players, but it’s not too high either.”
Simple rules to follow
Don’t try to win all the matches and figure out all the nuances. Try to just enjoy the game. Learn Dota through YouTube videos and in-game hints. And be quick to throw people who mess with your mood. These rules are very important.
Earlier, Schönhausen passed the Dota 2 ranking calibration. Grubby received one of the lowest rankings, but took the situation with humour. The Dutchman didn’t start playing Dota 2 until August 2022.
Ceb gives advice to Grubby
Two-time International champion Sebastian Ceb Debs has issued a piece of advice to multiple-time Warcraft III Internationals champion Manuel Grubby Schönhausen, recommending that Dota 2 players always take the opportunity to demoralize their opponents. He said it’s something you should take if you enjoy it. You shouldn’t do it if you don’t enjoy it.
Ceb shared this information during Grubby’s Dota 2 training session. The two esports betting Vulkan called each other during their broadcasts on Twitch, after which Schönhausen played several series in Valve’s MOBA in which Debs became his personal trainer.
Ceb had previously coached Grubby in Dota 2 matchmaking. The Frenchman watched the Dutchman’s matches without delay using Dota Plus and advised him on what to buy, where best to go and so on. Under the guidance of the TI champion, Schönhausen played two matches, one of which he won.
