Los Santos has never needed much of an excuse for a little chaos, and now even its favourite fizzy drinks are getting involved. GTA Online has launched the new Brand Wars Event, giving players two weeks to pick a side between Sprunk and eCola while earning boosted rewards, grabbing free branded gear and competing across races, Freemode activities and a selection of odd jobs.

The event runs through August 26th across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with plenty on offer whether you’re looking to build your bank balance or simply want to dress like a walking advert for your favourite beverage.

At A Glance

  • Game: GTA Online
  • Event: Brand Wars
  • Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC
  • Runs Until: August 26th
  • Biggest Rewards: Free Hotring Sabre, 4X GTA$ and RP, up to GTA$2 million via Twitch Drops

Pick Your Side In The Brand Wars

The latest GTA Online event is less about serious criminal enterprise and more about corporate rivalry, with Sprunk and eCola competing for the attention of Los Santos.

Players don’t necessarily have to make a permanent allegiance, but there are plenty of reasons to show some brand loyalty. Simply playing during the event will earn you a free Declasse Hotring Sabre, alongside a Sprunk x eCola livery and branded number plates.

The two drinks also get their own free bodysuits, available from clothing stores, giving you everything needed to turn your character into an aggressively branded racing enthusiast.

Twitch Drops Add Extra Cash

There’s more available for players who watch rather than play. Connect your Rockstar Games and Twitch accounts and tune into selected Team Sprunk or Team eCola streamers between August 13th and 26th.

Doing so can earn a matching tracksuit and, depending on how much you watch, up to GTA$2,000,000.

The Brand Wars Event puts a particular emphasis on racing, with 4X GTA$ and RP available on Hotring Races throughout the event. The free Hotring Sabre is an obvious candidate for putting to work, while the Bravado Hotring Hellfire and Karin Hotring Everon are both available at 40% off.

Freemode Challenges and Events are also paying 4X GTA$ and RP, while a selection of Community Series activities is offering 3X rewards.

That isn’t the only way to make some money, either. A collection of more unusual jobs, including Paper Route, Firefighter, Forklift Operator, Safeguard and QuickiePharm Deliveries, are all paying 3X GTA$ and RP.

Weekly Challenges Bring More Freebies

Rockstar is also changing the rewards during the two-week event, giving players a reason to return in both halves of the Brand Wars competition.

From August 13th-19th, completing three Business Battles earns the Impotent Rage Sweatsuit and GTA$250,000. From August 20th-26th, winning three Races delivers the Princess Racing Tracksuit and another GTA$250,000.

There’s also a particularly lucrative weekend coming up. From August 21st-23rd, VIP Work pays out at 5X GTA$ and RP, giving CEOs and VIPs a short window to make some serious money.

Plenty Of Discounts Across Los Santos

The first week brings 40% off the Hands On Car Wash, while a range of vehicles are also reduced. Alongside the two Hotring cars, players can pick up models including the Överflöd Autarch, Pegassi Osiris, Progen GP1 and Benefactor Stirling GT for 30% less. The Gun Van is getting in on the action too, with the Unholy Hellbringer available for free during the first week and the Battle Rifle reduced by 50%.

The second week switches the property focus to Bail Offices, which will be 40% off alongside their upgrades and modifications.

GTA+ members also have some additional perks, including a free Gallivanter Warden, Chameleon Paints and Princess Robot Bubblegum clothing.

Following the recent Summer Heist Event, GTA Online is once again giving players plenty of reasons to jump back into Los Santos. This time, the stakes are less about stealing a priceless statue and more about proving whether Sprunk or eCola deserves to rule the drinks cabinet.

With free vehicles and clothing, huge reward multipliers and a potential GTA$2 million Twitch windfall, there’s certainly no shortage of ways to get involved before the Brand Wars Event ends on August 26th.
