If the streets of Los Santos have felt slightly quieter lately, that’s about to change in a hurry. With streams already building momentum ahead of November, GTA 6 has the community more engaged than ever, and events like Motor Madness are keeping that energy alive in the meantime. GTA Online is throwing players headfirst into a massive new Motor Madness event, bringing two weeks packed with boosted race payouts, heavily discounted vehicles, garage deals and enough racing gear to completely refresh your wardrobe.
Available across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC, the latest GTA Online update puts the spotlight firmly on speed. Whether you’re chasing podium finishes, expanding your car collection or simply looking for easy GTA$, there’s plenty going on between May 14th and May 27th.
And after last week’s nightclub-focused bonuses, Rockstar has now swapped the dance floor for the driver’s seat.

Racing Takes Centre Stage
Motor Madness wastes little time getting to the point. The first week of the event leans heavily into classic street racing, with Land Races delivering a hefty 4X GTA$ and RP boost through May 20th.
That alone should be enough to fill servers, but Rockstar has layered on even more incentives across the board. Simeon Contact Missions are paying out triple rewards, while the HSW Time Trial also receives a huge 3X boost.
Things shift gears during the second week as the LS Car Meet becomes the focus. Street Races, Drift Races, Pursuit Races and Drag Races will all deliver double payouts, while LS Car Meet activities receive a massive 5X reputation increase.
If you somehow still haven’t joined the LS Car Meet, membership is completely free during the event.
Free Rewards and Racing Gear Up For Grabs
Rockstar is certainly focusing on the racing atmosphere this time around, and there are loads of cosmetic rewards tied to the event.
Simply logging into GTA Online before May 27th unlocks the Rockstar Helmet, while purchasing vehicles from specific showrooms grants exclusive clothing items including the Rockstar Racing Suit, LS Customs Varsity Jacket and Blue Banshee Tee.
Meanwhile, players chasing the Weekly Challenges can unlock two different Manor Racing Suits alongside GTA$100,000 bonuses.
Winning any two races during the first week unlocks the Dark Manor Racing Suit, while taking victory in two LS Car Meet races during week two rewards the Bright Manor Racing Suit.
Salvage Yards Are Printing Money
While racing headlines the update, Salvage Yard owners are quietly making serious cash in the background.
Between May 14th and May 20th, Daily Income, Tow Truck payouts, Salvage Value and Robbery Sales are all doubled. Rockstar has also slashed prices on Salvage Yard properties and upgrades by 40%, making this a pretty ideal moment to jump into the business if you haven’t already.
Auto Shop owners get their turn during the second week too, as Auto Shop Robbery Finales begin paying out double GTA$ and RP from May 21st onward.
Discounts Everywhere You Look
As expected, Motor Madness also comes with an enormous list of vehicle discounts.
The Bravado Banshee GTS headlines the offers at 40% off across both weeks, while cars like the Grotti Itali RSX, Emperor Vectre, Übermacht Cypher and Överflöd Entity XF are all discounted too.
Property owners can also massively expand their garage space. The Eclipse Blvd Garage is 40% off during week one, before all Garage Properties receive the same discount during week two.
Performance customisation is cheaper too, with HSW Upgrades, Benny’s Conversions and Turbo Tuning all reduced by 50%.
Rockstar continues pushing out substantial weekly content drops for GTA Online, and Motor Madness is one of the bigger racing-focused events the game has seen in a while. With Forza vying for your time, you can get your race on across multiple games.
