GTA Online – A Safehouse in the Hills

Los Santos is about to get a whole lot richer.

GTA Online’s newest major update – A Safehouse in the Hills – launches December 10th across PlayStation, Xbox and PC, delivering high-end mansions, elite vehicles, a new storyline, fresh creator tools and a surprising returning character.

For long-time players hungry for something big, A Safehouse in the Hills is one of the most feature-stuffed updates GTA Online has seen in years.

A Wealthy Criminal’s Dream Come True

A Safehouse in the Hills introduces fully purchasable luxury mansions courtesy of Prix Luxury Real Estate. These aren’t just bigger apartments – they’re sprawling, customisable palaces stacked with ways to show off, operate businesses more efficiently and highlight your achievements in style.

Quick Summary Of Key Additions

  • High-end mansion properties with advanced virtual assistants
  • New story missions tackling a mass surveillance network
  • Prestige amenities including Trophy Cabinets, a Salon, Kennels and more
  • Optional Private Security and property business boosts
  • A huge line up of new vehicles, including Hao’s Special Works options
  • Law Enforcement Vehicles and Drift variants added
  • Missile Lock-On Jammer added to more cars and aircraft
  • New Mission Creator for custom-designed objectives and scenarios
  • New GTA+ perks including early access to the Vapid FMJ MK V

Luxury Mansions Arrive In Los Santos

The headline feature is the arrival of multi-million dollar mansions perched high above the city. Every property comes with lavish décor, vast outdoor spaces and a cutting-edge AI Assistant who can handle your business boosts, operational tasks and quality-of-life chores.

Inside these mansions, players can install:

  • A Salon for character styling
  • Animal Kennels for domesticated companions
  • A dramatic art-lit Garage
  • Trophy Cabinets to parade rare collectibles
  • Indoor Car Podiums
  • Optional Armory and Vehicle Workshop upgrades

If you want your Safehouse to double as a command centre, you can add Private Security staff or unlock additional production bonuses across your owned businesses.

New Missions And A Returning Face

Alongside the real estate upgrade comes a brand new set of action-focused missions. These revolve around stopping the construction of a mass surveillance network, and they’re available to all players even without purchasing a mansion.

Rockstar has teased the return of a familiar character as part of this storyline, promising a mixture of narrative twists and high-tier combat. Expect cinematic missions, large-scale firefights and the kind of chaotic set pieces that define GTA Online’s best content.

More Vehicles, More Speed, More Style

A Safehouse in the Hills also brings a wave of new rides. Highlights include:

  • New supercars compatible with Hao’s Special Works upgrades
  • Expanded Missile Lock-On Jammer support for more vehicles and non-weaponized aircraft
  • New Law Enforcement Vehicles for roleplay and chaos alike
  • Fresh Drift variants for sideways specialists

GTA+ members get an extra treat too – one week of early access to the Vapid FMJ MK V plus additional mansion-related perks, including remote business staff management via the Vinewood Club App.

Craft Your Own Chaos With The Mission Creator

Creators and machinima fans will welcome the brand new Mission Creator. This in-depth toolset lets players design and publish their own missions using actors, objectives, custom mechanics and more. It’s one of the most flexible tools Rockstar has ever added to GTA Online, and it arrives free for everyone.

Final Chance To Claim Major Bonuses

Players still have a shot at earning massive rewards before the update drops:

  • Finish all three New Listings missions by December 7 to reach Gold Tier
  • Gold Tier grants a GTA$2,000,000 discount on Prix Luxury Real Estate properties
  • You’ll also unlock the Black Rockstar Varsity Crewneck on December 10
  • A GTA$1,000,000 cash bonus will land within 72 hours of qualifying
  • Anyone who logs in by December 7 enters Black Tier rewards, including a free Übermacht Revolter

A Landmark Update For The Los Santos Elite

A Safehouse in the Hills marks an evolution for GTA Online – an update focused on personalisation, prestige and player-driven creativity, all wrapped around fresh narrative content and mechanical upgrades. With luxury mansions, top-tier cars, new missions and a powerful Mission Creator, Rockstar is giving players even more ways to carve out their own criminal empire.
