The writing has been on the wall since 2011 but now the time has come for the majority of downloadable content for Guitar Hero, DJ Hero and Band Hero to be removed from the Xbox Games Store.
Activision pulled development on the games back in 2011 and so this comes as no surprise. Come March 31st, the DLC for the three games will no longer be available for download, although if you manage to grab it before the deadline, you’ll still be able to use it as the servers will continue to run….at least for now!
To um ‘celebrate’ to the removal, the vast majority of downloadable content for all three Heroes games will be discounted until the end of the month. Due to the sheer number of content packs available it wouldn’t be worthwhile detailing the packs here so the best thing to do is jump over to the Xbox Games Store and have a little search for some interesting stuff. For good measure, you’ll find a few avatar items also discounted.
