Hack through the hordes of hell with Dying Light’s Hellraid

dying light hellraid

It’s hard to believe that it was way back in 2015 when Techland launched one of the greatest zombie games of all time – Dying Light. In that time though we’ve seen the base game be hit with multiple updates, additional feature sets and a huge ton of content options. And Techland still haven’t stopped, pushing out the Hellraid DLC.

Available today for Dying Light players on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Hellraid will give you reason to head back in to Techland’s zombie masterpiece once more, as you take in a descent to Hell – either alone or with a friend.

And once down there you are in for a world of trouble as Dying Light’s latest expansion delivers content based on Techland’s currently on-hold first person dark fantasy slasher, Hellraid; a game that has been placed on the back burner since 2015. And that should mean you will find access to multiple new weapon types, the opportunity to slay a whole host of new enemies, along with the option to utilise a new game mode with full progression system.

Features include:

  • HACK THROUGH THE HORDES OF HELL – Step into a portal to leave the familiar streets of Harran behind and emerge in an otherworldly stronghold overrun by servants of Hell. Slay brand-new demonic enemies with medieval swords, axes, and hammers as you venture through stone corridors and dimly lit chambers.
  • MASTER A NEW GAME MODE – Prove your skills in intense, rewarding runs through the demon-infested dungeon. Pick up bounties for additional prizes as you revisit the fortress. Improve your Hellraid rank to access new weapons you can also wield outside of the infernal realm.
  • RAID ALONE OR IN CO-OP – Take your chances alone or gather a party of up to 4 people and be certain Hell’s minions will always be ready for you. Prepare to face unholy forces matching your numbers and strength for a formidable challenge.

Available for those who love a bit of cooperative action, or the solo adventurer on the lookout for a new kick, Hellraid will set you back £8.39 from the Xbox Store for Xbox One. You’ll also find the DLC available over on PS4 and PC too.

Let us know in the comments if you decide to pick up this latest DLC addition for the stunning Dying Light. Of course, if you’re bitten by the zombie bug once more and are looking for even more Dying Light gameplay, there are a host of content additions that have arrived over the years. Each and every one will deliver something a little different.

DLC Description:

No one knows where the strange arcade machine came from. One day the residents of the Tower just found it in the basement after an odd power outage. They took it upstairs unaware that their find is a gateway to another realm. Shake up your Dying Light experience by using this eerie device to access a completely new game mode based on Techland’s currently-on-hold first-person fantasy slasher Hellraid.
