Fortnitemares 2020 event

Fortnite fanatics pay careful attention because the Fortnitemares event has made its grand return on all platforms, running until 3rd November. The Fortnitemares 2020: Midas’ Revenge event brings a host of Challenges, a special shadowy reincarnation and a special concert featuring J Balvin.

In Midas’ Revenge, Shadow Midas has taken over The Authority with his reawakened Henchmen, so you must stop him before you turn into a Shadow yourself. After being eliminated in Solo, Duos, or Squads, prepare to haunt the living as you will return to battle as a Shadow for your shot at a Shadow Royale. Join your fellow Shadows and defeat the remaining survivors by using your new-found otherworldly abilities, such as possessing the body of vehicles.

Throughout the Fortnitemares 2020 event, vanquish a selection of new Challenges in order to unlock special in-game rewards. These include the Midas’ Shadow Wrap, Smash O’-Lantern Pickaxe, Bobo Back Bling, and more – allowing you to be Halloween-appropriate or stay looking scary all year-round.

Headlining this year’s Fortnitemares event, Colombian reggaeton superstar and four-time Latin GRAMMY winner J Balvin will awaken your spirit in the Afterlife Party — a special performance in Party Royale featuring Latin culture and reggaeton. It’ll even mark the debut of his brand new song featuring Sech. The party happens at the Main Stage in Party Royale on 31st October at 9pm ET (1am GMT on 1st November). You can catch rebroadcasts of J Balvin’s performance on November 1 at 1pm ET and 6pm ET (5pm GMT and 10pm GMT) via the Main Stage. You can also watch the premiere and rebroadcasts with your friends on the mobile phone chat app Houseparty!

Want to wear a costume for the party? A new nightlife take on a Fortnitemares favorite, the Party Trooper Outfit, is available in the Item Shop now through 1st November. As a souvenir of your journey into the netherworld, all Party Trooper owners who attend the Afterlife Party in Fortnite will unlock the exclusive J Balvin style. Leave a comment below and tell us whether you’ll be attending, or not!
