As if motorcycle racing wasn’t scary enough, each and every year a host of the best riders from around the globe head to the Isle of Man, partaking and competing in the world renowned Isle of Man TT. Frankly, it’s a bonkers race and we’d rather stick with the virtual offering. It’s that which is looking to take the next step with launch on TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 in 2023.Â
Announced today as the next instalment in the TT Isle of Man video game series, Ride on the Edge 3 from RaceWard Studio and the publishing arm of Nacon will let players experience the most dangerous motorbike race in the world, as it prepares to leather up and release on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC.Â
It’s due to arrive in May 2023, playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC, building on what has been learnt from the releases of the original TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge and the follow-up, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2.Â
Ride on the Edge 3 will whisk riders off to the 37 mile long circuit, dropping them onto some stupidly overpowered bikes, and told to get on with it. The ultimate goal will be to take the crown, as you compete against those found in the official line up of the 2022 TT; the teams, the bikes and the courses.Â
It’s going to be powered by KT Engine (that found in RiMS Racing) as RaceWard Studio recreates all the tension and passion of the iconic race. It’s got to be real too, as this is a series that multiple professional riders train with in order to prepare for the official race!
TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 will be found featuring some thirty-two different circuits, including current and historical courses, nearly forty Superbike and Supersport motorbikes and riders, and upgraded physics. Controlling cornering and braking requires more precision than ever, and motorcycle upgrades gives players the tools they need to achieve maximum performance.
There will be a new Open Roads feature included too, letting you ride the some 124 miles of Isle of Man roads, looking for points of interest and completing challenges. There will be online competitions too, including weekly and monthly events.
“After the great feedback we received about RiMS Racing, we are delighted to have applied all our expertise into this incredible race,” said Marco Ponte, CEO and Creative Director at RaceWard Studio. “For a team of developers with such passion for motorcycling, it makes us immensely proud to make the official game that recreates this legendary race for motorbike fans around the world.”
