Head back to the Red Planet with the latest Surviving Mars DLC

-

Latest Reviews

Surely I can’t be the only one left excited by a new piece of content for Surviving Mars? I mean, c’mon, any reason to head back to the Martian world for a bit of sci-fi city building is always welcome. Isn’t it?

Well, unfortunately the enthusiasm for the latest DLC that is now available for Surviving Mars is a little short-lived, as aside from a set of visual skins that mix up the way our precious domes look, there is little to get excited about with the Surviving Mars – Stellaris Dome Set.

Whilst any add-on is usually a good add-on, a simple skin addition is rather disappointing and gives little reason to head on out on a hardcore mission to Mars once more. We want new objectives, new food types, new research opportunities and more. Instead, we’re given the chance to ensure our Medium, Oval, Mega and Basic domes look the part. And we’re being asked to stump up £3.19 for the privilege.

Now obviously you may find that to be a fair amount for something so basic, and if truth be told, a few quid isn’t going to break the bank, but it’s hardly the exciting DLC add-on we want now is it?

By all means head on over to the Microsoft Store and nab the Stellaris Dome Set right now should you wish, or even spend a little time with our full review of Surviving Mars should you need an angle on whether it is worth a purchase or not, but chances are you’ll be left wanting by the disappointment of a few domes.

DLC Description:

The Stellaris dome set is a thematic set of visual skins for the Martian domes with a futuristic design and star-shaped elements. It is available for the following domes: – Basic Dome: A small dome, suitable for the early days of the colony. – Medium Dome: A medium-sized dome design. – Oval Dome: An elongated dome design, which has space for two Spires. – Mega Dome: The most advanced and spacious dome design.
