Head off on a Wild Goose Chase with the latest DLC for theHunter: Call of the Wild

2026's Best Games

Wanna go goose hunting? You can right now with theHunter: Call of the Wild!

If you’ve had enough of hunting deer, been done with bison and run scared from the bears, then it’s time to look towards something a little easier to track – the Canada Goose. But if you want to hunt successfully, then you need the right gear, just like that found in theHunter: Call of the Wild – Wild Goose Chase Gear.

Priced at just £2.79, this super cheap downloadable content offering brings plenty of content with the Strecker SxS 20G in place, bringing less recoil and better handling for the most precise of hunts. With an iron sight as default, the Strecker is also compatible with both the Green and Red Illuminated Fiber Optic Sights.

Not only that but it also comes in four various flavours – Scarlett, Fiona, Hazel and Raven – and can handle multiple shot types.

In order to be the very best hunter though, you’ll need to blend in and the addition of Field Camo will ensure you can conceal yourself for hours on end. Drop in no less then 3 decoys – those of Feeding, Sentry and Searching – and you’ll quickly begin to understand how and why the Wild Goose Chase Gear is an essential addition to any hunter looking to take their game to the next level.

You will obviously need a copy of the base game prior to even considering a purchase of this download, but you needn’t worry that you’ll be buying a duff because theHunter is one of the very best game currently available on Xbox One. Have a read of our review and then head to the Xbox Store to purchase the game and the DLC.

DLC Description:

With the appearance of Hirschfelden’s first field fowl, the Canada Goose, it was time for Connie and Doc to order some new items for the store. Strecker SxS 20G: The little sister to the 12-Gauge Shotgun, the 20-Gauge’s lower velocity rounds and lower weight mean less recoil, and better handling: the right tools to deal with fast-moving prey. Quick to fire, easy to operate even from the hip, and great to show-off, the Strecker SxS 20G is the way to go for any discerning hunter of small and upland game. Sight Compatibility In addition to the default Iron Sight, the Strecker SxS 20G supports two optic sights; the Green and Red Illuminated Fiber Optic Sights. Ammo: 20 gauge birdshot These 20-gauge shells are designed to be the perfect companion for upland game hunters. 20 gauge buckshot Ideal for small game and varmint hunting, this 20-gauge shot offers a greater number of pellets than its 12 gauge counterpart. Most effective at close range. 20 gauge slug Versatile and powerful, this slug gives the 20-gauge shotgun enough stopping power to take down even medium-sized targets with a single shot. Variations: The Strecker SxS 20G comes in four different color variations: Scarlett, Fiona, Hazel and Raven. Decoys: Get your hands on three extremely realistic Canada Goose Decoys: Feeding, Sentry and Searching. These custom-painted, full-body decoys will fool even the most skeptical of Canada Geese. Once deployed, these decoys increase the chance of geese breaking off from high flying flocks and landing. Incognito Deluxe Layout Blind – Field Camo: The ultimate blind for bird hunting in pastures and fields. Once deployed, it provides excellent visibility concealment for hunters looking to get the jump on fowl.
