There are a huge number of Artifex Mundi titles rolling around the various gaming marketplaces, but that doesn’t mean there’s not room for another. Which is a bit of luck as Skyland: Heart of the Mountain has made its way to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Priced at £12.49 and available to purchase and download right this minute, Skyland: Heart of the Mountain is the latest Artifex title to make its way from PC to console, with it providing yet another additional hidden object puzzle adventure for us to choose from.

This time around those at Artifex throw us on to an all-new world, one that has been built on the shoulders of sleeping giants. It is here where you’ll find the chance to join Adrianne as you go about attempting to save the world from utter annihilation. Fail to do so, and well…

You see, there are sinister going-ons occurring in the land of Skyland (honestly, it wouldn’t be an Artifex Mundi title if there wasn’t) and so it’ll be up to you and Adrianne to discover the mystery behind the madness. With the trusty crew of the airship Nightingale covering your back too, the answers you go looking for should never be too far away.

Skyland comes with more than 50 steampunk puzzles for you to work through, as you go in search of the hidden objects and mini-games that Artifex have seen fit to include here. How they play out will all be detailed in our upcoming review of Skyland: Heart of the Mountain on Xbox – keep an eye out for it.

Chances are though that things will be pretty similar to the slew of other Artifex titles that are doing the rounds.

Features include:

  • Step into the world created on the shoulders of slumbering giants!
  • Join the crew of Nightingale and travel across the Skyland!
  • Solve over 50 steampunk themed puzzles!
  • Discover hidden truth behind mysterious Bal the Sole!
  • Team up with your sister Adrianne and avenge your father!

In order to grab a copy of Skyland: Heart of the Mountain on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox Store should be paid a visit. You’ll find the game there as an individual download for £12.99, yet those new to the hidden object scene will also discover a free trial. It may well be worth you checking it out through there first.

There’s also another way to get involved and that is to download the Captain’s Choice Bundle. This comes in at £29.99 but brings together the stories of Skyland: Heart of the Mountain with the previous released of Uncharted Tides: Port Royal and Nightmares from the Deep 3: Davy Jones. If you haven’t yet played either of those games and fancy a terrifying trio to test your skills, there’s probably nothing better.

Game Description:

In an outlandish world the surface of the planet withered and died below the toxic fumes. Survivors fled and settled atop the sleeping giants. Those relics of forgone age proved to be a source of endless energy that allowed entire civilization to flourish again. However, something sinister looms over the Skyland. People are disappearing without trace and it seems it might be connected to your father’s tragic death. It’s up to you and your trusty crew of airship Nightingale to uncover the truth behind it. Team up with your sister Adrianne and together you will solve a mystery behind your father’s passing and see a glimpse of ancient civilization that shaped this world. In your journey you will confront mysterious Bal the Sole and possibly face questions about a nature of life itself. Wherever your quest will lead you, Skyland will never be the same.
