Head to the Great Lakes of Canada with Railway Empire

-

If you are happy to head back a century or two and take in the early stages of the railway system, then Railway Empire easily delivers a decent experience. After harnessing the power of the railways throughout America, and then heading to the colourful Mexico addition, once more we see the chance to expand our empire again – this time as we head to the Great Lakes of Canada.

Available to purchase right now for Railway Empire on Xbox One is the Great Lakes content addition. Priced up at £6.39, this lets us break out of the confines of the US, and forget about the draw of Mexico, to take in the forests of Canada, bridging the gap between the British colonies and trying to create economic independence.

A whole new scenario is in place – that of Dominion Day (1860-1880), a new expansion to the map that lets us visit the Lakes in both free game and sandbox modes, and the inclusion of an enhanced weather system and exclusive night mode.

Add to this brand new engines, tradeable commodities and no less than 19 new cities to explore, and you’ll quickly see how the addition of the Great Lakes DLC to your Railway Empire should be an exciting proposition.

Head on over to the Xbox Store, nab the content and hit the railways once more. It promises to be the trip of a lifetime!

DLC Description:

Dominated by forest and tundra, Canada in the 1860s is sparsely populated and only a few settlements have managed to develop into larger towns. Bridge the distance between the British colonies and reach economic independence by creating a track infrastructure for the Great Lakes region. • New scenario: Dominion Day (1860-1880) – The British North American Act • Map expansion: The Great Lakes region (available in Free Game and Sandbox Modes) • New engines: Achilles (0-4-0) and Canadian (2-8-0) • New tradeable goods (e.g. fur and winter clothing) and 19 new cities • Enhanced weather system for all northern regions in the game • Explore the world of Railway Empire in the exclusive night mode
