Head to the Hidden Depths of Submerged on Xbox, PlayStation and PC

submerged hidden depths launch

Whether you like the way Submerged: Hidden Depths is sold as a ‘relaxploration’ title or not, there’s no debating that this looks to be a wonderful way to spend a few hours – forgetting about any form of combat and just heading out on an adventure into the unknown. If that sounds like your bag, Uppercut Games have got you sorted with launch on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Submerged: Hidden Depths follows on from 2015’s Submerged to whisk players off to a breathtaking city that has been gripped by the most dark of mysteries. It’s here, with the adventure exploration ‘relaxploration’ of Hidden Depths where things unfold.

It focuses on the two protagonists of Miku and Taku as they look to navigate their way through this sunken city, uncovering all manner of secrets. It’s a game that Uppercut hope is able to provide a balance between tension and the ultimate relaxation, as you help the duo move through the world; all at your own pace.

With absolute zero combat to worry about, and the adventure of a lifetime ahead of you, there’s a chance that Submerged: Hidden Depths will have more than enough about it to drag in a whole host of players; not just those who adored the previous game.

“It’s remarkable to reflect on our time with Submerged: Hidden Depths. Starting out on Google Stadia to now seeing it launch on PC and console.”, remarked Ed Orman, Co-founder of Uppercut Games “As a team we’ve often found ourselves stretching and learning in creating our games, and Submerged: Hidden Depths was no different. Expanding on what we started in Submerged has been a joy, especially as we’ve been able to stay true to that sense of relaxploration that was at its core.”.

If you wish to know more, then we’d highly advise you swing by our exclusive interview piece. We got to sit down with Uppercut in hope of finding out more about the game – they were all too happy to oblige.

Similarly, we’ve been hands-on with the game for a little while. Our full preview is up and ready to be taken in, we’ve chatted at length about the game in our podcast (TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 116), whilst our full review of Submerged: Hidden Depths on Xbox Series X|S is right here

In all, this is a game that promises much, with key features sitting as follows:

  • – Vast Outdoor Environments: Explore a rich, colourful and vibrant world.
  • – Relaxing Experience: Play at your own pace with the freedom to enjoy the beauty of Submerged: Hidden Depths. – Discovery: Search for hidden objects to uncover the story, find upgrades for the boat and discover new creatures. – Boating: Cruise through the striking city streets in the powered boat, spotting new areas for exploration.
  • – Puzzles: Climb, sail and use abandoned mechanisms to solve physics puzzles and reveal the city’s mystery.
  • – Expanded Player Tools: Fans of the prequel, Submerged, will enjoy further developed tools and puzzles as they progress through Submerged: Hidden Depths.

You’ll find Submerged: Hidden Depths on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on PlayStation and PC. Expect to pay around £24.99 for it.

Game Description:

A drowned city, crumbling tips of skyscrapers stubbornly standing above the waves. Deserted villages, now inhabited by enigmatic creatures. And beneath the surging ocean waits an anguished, angry presence. Submerged: Hidden Depths is a non-combat third-person “relaxploration” adventure, set in the sunken ruins of a beautiful world. Take on the role of Miku and Taku – one cursed with a mysterious power that she wants to use for good, the other determined not to let it tear them apart. Boat across tranquil waters and storm-driven white-caps, explore and climb what remains of a once-towering city, and scour the buildings for the seeds of its salvation.
