Fed up with the cold, dark winter nights already? Hanging out for the sun? Dovetail Games have got you sorted with the latest content for Train Sim World 2, as we get the chance to hop aboard the fastest of trains and head to the Med.
The Med is our port of call here with the latest addition to Train Sim World 2, as the LGV Méditerranée: Marseille – Avignon DLC hits the tracks and makes waves on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PC.
Priced at a cool £24.99 – although a small launch discount drops that down slightly – the LGV Méditerranée: Marseille – Avignon DLC lets us in on the inner workings of the TGV services that roll through Southern France. Moving at just 320 kmh, you’ll get to utilise the TVM430 signalling system and will take charge of the already iconic 200 Series TGV Duplex. If there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s at the complete opposite end of the railway spectrum to the recently released Isle of Wight content.
With this coming complete in Carmillon colours, you’ll find yourself capable of moving more than 1000 people in comfort and safety. Of course, the train is the star here, but with the LGV Méditerranée: Marseille – Avignon for Train Sim World 2 you’ll also get the chance to check out the Marseille-Saint-Charles station too. Expect to find a few hidden little secrets in place there.
With Train Sim World 2 already the most immersive, most realistic train sim on the market today, the LGV Méditerranée: Marseille – Avignon content pack should fit nicely. You’ll obviously need the base game in place first, but from there on out a trip to your favoured digital store will sort you out with the new content. Don’t miss it – if only because the promise of sun is something we all need in these times.
DLC Description:
Experience the excitement of high-speed rail, aboard the iconic TGV® Duplex, through sun-soaked Southern France with Train Sim World 2: LGV Méditerranée. It’s your job to operate world-renowned TGV services across the stunning terrain of Southern France at a thrilling 320 km/h. Manage the complexities of keeping to the timetable, paying attention to the TVM430 signalling system, all while climbing and falling through the rollercoaster-like landscape. Take control of the instantly recognisable 200 Series TGV Duplex, adorning the bold Carmillon livery, and explore the historical Marseille-Saint-Charles station, which contrasts greatly to the modern, and stylish stations of Aix-en-Provence and Avignon. Each TGV Duplex can seat 508 people across its decks, meaning a double set can whisk over 1000 passengers to the coast.
