Don’t you just hate it when someone steals your lunch? Well, that age-old crime is front and centre in Prehistoric Dude as a massive dinosaur has taken off with the main protagonist’s next meal. And so, the adventure begins to retrieve it on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Prehistoric Dude, developed by LightUp (Milo’s Quest and Super Wiloo Demake), is a little 8-bit metroidvania experience set during the stone age. It follows the adventure of Dude, a caveman who merely wants to get his delicious ham back from a thieving dino. Along the way, he will need to go up against many dangerous enemies throughout the caves and forests. The key to succeeding is in obtaining tools and power ups, which can really assist him on this journey.

With alternate paths to explore and three different scenarios to play through, Prehistoric Dude could be an ideal platformer for keen explorers. Especially given that it’s super cheap, priced at just ÂŁ4.99 on the Xbox Store – currently discounted to ÂŁ3.99 for two weeks post-launch – and the PS Store. Ratalaika Games haven’t forgotten about Nintendo Switch players, but they need to wait until 14th August instead.
