Head to the Wild West with Dead Dust

There are many different Wild West tales available on Xbox, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for another. Are you ready to head into the gunslinging world of Dead Dust?

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Dead Dust is the latest tale to whisk us off to the world of gunfights and cowboys as we attempt to help our hero work their way through the angriest of foes, through the most challenging of arenas, all in order to save the kidnapped girl. I mean, what Wild West tale would it be without a damsel in distress.

Priced at a mere £4.19, Dead Dust comes about via the ChiliDog Interactive team, to work a slightly different aspect of the Wild West scene than those of recent releases like El Hijo – A Wild West Tale or Desperados III for instance. This time we join a fearless bounty hunter – he of Shalngo – as they head on out to complete the mission asked of him, to rescue the daughter of a wealthy bar owner.

As you would expect, this is an extremely dangerous job, mostly as it will take Shalngo though treacherous lands that are populated by his biggest foes. Thankfully this is a guy who has friends in high places, and by utilising their help, and the power of the horse, Shalngo will discover a world ahead of him.

This world is a strange one too. The usual Wild West opportunities will be laid out as progress is made, but just for good measure an alien invasion will also occur, with them bringing their favourite plasma cannons along for the ride. Yep, the Wild West and plasma cannons. Throw in a ton of secrets to unveil, obstacles to overcome and loot to collect, and the journey to rescue of that landlord’s daughter promises to be a tough one.

Our full review of Dead Dust on Xbox will let you know how things play out. Keep an eye out for it. In the meantime you’ll be able to grab a download of the game from the Xbox Store. Surely that low price point warrants a look?

Game Description:

Dead Dust takes place in the Wild West. It’s full of reckless gunfights, gunpowder smell, endless prairies and hot-headed cowboys. The main character is called Shlango, and he’s a fearless bounty hunter. He receives a letter from a very important person with great influence all over the Wild West. He owns many saloons and bars. His daughter was kidnapped and so he wrote a letter to the bounty hunter asking him for help with saving her. This job appears extremely dangerous because Shalngo’s path lies through the land of Indians. Fortunately our hero Shlango has some reliable friends ready to help him on this dangerous journey and get to the horses any minute! It’s time for you to pick a hero and run through the crowds of deadly enemies: angry Indians, bandits and even some aliens with their futuristic plasma cannons. You will have to stay alive through all of these challenging levels, also you will have to collect loot from fallen enemies. There are some things to be done as well — to discover the secrets of Dead Dust and talk to barkeepers who’ll sell you the most useful equipment to overcome any obstacles or hostels on your way to save the kidnapped girl.
