Ever wanted to travel to the Wild West and blow up your friends? You’ll be doing just that in Bombslinger this April!
A four player free-for-all or solo adventure awaits your time in the Wild West as you look to seek revenge on your murderous brother, grafting your way through procedurally generated levels and hitting up plenty of character progression opportunities.
Coming to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on April 11th 2018, you’ll want to grab your hats and check out the action maze title – if only because it is full of explosives!
Two-man indie devs, Mode4 are the team behind it and promise to keep the classic penny-arcade four-player free-for-all game mode the bomb throwing genre is known for, whilst reimagining things for the solo adventure in us with the addition of procedurally generated levels, character progression with skill upgrades, and a variety of offensive and defensive items. Oh, and all that in and amongst a tale of revenge that is right at home in the Wild West.
Currently in Steam Early Access, the story of Bombslinger follows the Bombslinger – unsurprisingly – a ruthless bandit turned peaceful rancher on a quest to avenge the murder of his missus and destruction of his ranch at the hands of his brother, the Gunslinger. The full game promises to bring enough new items, environments and enemies to fill a general goods store.
“We’ve enjoyed working with players to make sure Bombslinger has enough content to create a highly replayable experience players can enjoy alone or with friends,” says Ferry Keesom, Co-Founder, Programmer and Designer, Mode4. “We look forward to sharing the fruits of our love of classic westerns and bomb-slinging games with new audiences.”
You don’t need to live in the Wild West to enjoy Bombslinger either as this is one global adventure which will also be told in French, Italian, Spanish, German, Dutch and Simplified Chinese.
Could you ask for anything more? We’ll be sure to remind you when that launch date hits.
