Heavy Cargo The Truck Simulator is on Xbox, PlayStation and PC

The ultimate trucking challenge? Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator rolls onto PC and console.

Aerosoft and tox² interactive release Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator, a realistic and immersive trucking simulation that puts you in the driver’s seat of powerful vehicles hauling oversized loads.

It’s available now on Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam), and PlayStation 5, to offer a unique and challenging trucking experience that goes beyond simply delivering cargo from point A to point B. What do you mean there’s not more to trucking than that?

More Than Just Trucking

In Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator, you’ll take on the role of a heavy cargo transporter, responsible for every aspect of the operation, from meticulous planning and route scouting to the careful execution of challenging deliveries.

Before you even start your journey, you’ll need to assess potential obstacles, dismantle guardrails, adjust road signs, and even utilise cranes to ensure safe passage for your massive cargo.

Authenticity and Realism

Developed in close partnership with industry leader Gruber Logistics, Heavy Cargo offers an authentic portrayal of the complexities involved in heavy cargo transport.

The game features realistic vehicle models, including fully licensed MAN trucks and a variety of trailers, as well as dynamic weather and day-night cycles that add an extra layer of challenge and immersion.

We guess this one is going up against the likes of Truck Driver and Ice Truckers. But can it own the highway? We’ll let you know in full review.

Key Features to Get Your Engines Revving

  • Oversized Cargo Missions: Master nearly 30 unique orders, each requiring precision and strategy to transport oversized cargo safely. From rotor blades to industrial machinery, players will navigate challenging roads while ensuring their load remains undamaged.
  • Dynamic Open World: Explore a detailed, dynamic world featuring highways, mountain roads, and picturesque European towns. The 175km² open-world environment includes a day-night cycle and variable weather conditions, from fog and rain to clear skies, making each journey different.
  • Escort Vehicles and Route Preparation: Before embarking on missions, players must scout routes using escort vehicles, removing roadblocks, dismantling guard rails, and preparing terrain with cranes to ensure safe passage for their trucks.
  • Highly Customizable Trucks: Personalize both the interior and exterior of your trucks with over 100 add-on parts and 20 interior decorations. Unlock new truck models and modifications as you progress through the game.
  • Advanced Truck Features: Experience realistic truck mechanics, including compressed air systems, retarders, and individually calculated wheel physics, bringing an extra layer of immersion to your heavy cargo transports.
  • Real-World Logistics in Partnership with Gruber Logistics: In collaboration with Gruber Logistics, a leader in real world heavy cargo transport, players will experience a true-to-life simulation of the logistics industry, driving real-life truck models through carefully designed missions.

A Trucking Experience Like No Other

Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator is feeling perfect for simulation enthusiasts and trucking fans alike, mostly thanks to its focus on realism, challenging gameplay, and the opportunity to truck through a vast open world.

Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator is available now on Xbox Series X|S through the Xbox Store for £24.99. You won’t be able to play on Xbox One though.

PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 players can also get in on the action, grabbing their keys, starting those engines, and preparing to conquer the challenges of heavy cargo transport in this immersive and authentic trucking simulation.

Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator Description

In Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator, you transport oversized cargo through an extensive, freely accessible and lively game world, including dynamic weather and day-night cycle. Before you start your journey with your truck and its various trailers and cargo, you often have to explore the route with the spotting vehicle first that you control yourself. If obstacles prevent you from fulfilling your mission, you will have to dismantle crash barriers, cut off road signs, determine bridge heights or lay out plates using a crane in order to transport your heavy cargo from A to B undamaged.
