A Return To The Labyrinth
Back in November 2025, we got our first proper glimpse of Hellraiser: Revival when gameplay footage showcased the game’s gruesome vision of Clive Barker’s universe. At the time, it looked like one of the more faithful adaptations of a horror property we’ve seen in gaming.
Now, with a launch date locked in, players can prepare to descend into the Labyrinth themselves.
The story follows a desperate mission into Hell itself as players attempt to rescue a loved one from the clutches of the Cenobites. Standing in the way are twisted cultists, monstrous creatures and infernal priests, all eager to claim another soul for eternal suffering.
Of course, no Hellraiser experience would be complete without Pinhead, and fans will be pleased to hear that horror icon Doug Bradley returns to voice the character.
Fighting Back With The Genesis Configuration
While survival is the ultimate goal, players won’t be entering Hell empty-handed.
Central to the experience is the mysterious Genesis Configuration puzzle box, which grants a range of supernatural abilities. These powers include telekinesis, pyrokinesis and the franchise’s signature Hell Chains, allowing players to unleash devastating attacks while also solving environmental puzzles and manipulating parts of the ever-shifting Labyrinth.
Combined with more traditional weaponry, the result looks set to be a horror experience that balances combat, exploration and puzzle-solving in equal measure.
Beyond the supernatural powers and puzzle mechanics, Hellraiser: Revival will throw players into relentless encounters against the inhabitants of Hell itself. Boss Team Games describes battles against wretches, deviants, cultists and powerful Cenobite priests, all while players attempt to prevent Pinhead’s latest ritual from unleashing unimaginable suffering upon the world.
Judging by the newly released trailer, there will be no shortage of blood, brutality and body horror along the way.
Pre-Orders And Editions Detailed
Players will be able to choose between two editions when pre-orders open.
The Standard Edition will retail for ÂŁ34.99, while the Deluxe Edition will cost ÂŁ41.99. Details on the Deluxe Edition’s additional content are expected closer to launch.
Anyone who pre-orders either version will receive two exclusive cosmetic rewards: the Labyrinth Pistol Skin, along with the Martyr Sawblade Skin.
Meanwhile, dedicated collectors can already secure one of two premium Collector’s Editions, which include a selection of licensed Hellraiser memorabilia alongside all Deluxe Edition content and pre-order bonuses.
October’s Horror Line-Up Just Got Stronger
The survival horror genre continues to enjoy a resurgence, and Hellraiser: Revival looks determined to carve out its own bloody corner within it. With an original story, Doug Bradley’s return as Pinhead and a faithful recreation of the franchise’s twisted mythology, October 8th is shaping up to be a date horror fans will want firmly marked on their calendars.
Whether you’re a lifelong devotee of Clive Barker’s creation or simply looking for your next horror fix, Hellraiser: Revival appears ready to open the box and unleash something truly unsettling on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC this autumn.
