Lady Death just wanted a quiet moment to mourn a fallen friend. Unfortunately, the demons had other ideas. An infernal portal has opened at the cemetery gates, and Lady Death Demonicron is now ready to unleash some serious arcade-style carnage on Xbox, PlayStation and Steam.
Available now on Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and PS5, Lady Death Demonicron is a 15-level co-op hack and slash that looks back to the glory days of 1990s arcade beat ’em ups, while adding swords, magic and a suitably loud industrial-metal soundtrack.

A Very Metal Trip Through Hell
Lady Death Demonicron doesn’t exactly ease players into its story. Following the attack on the cemetery, Lady Death is dragged from one strange realm to another, with her journey taking in the pits of Hell, an undead heavy-metal festival, a demonic dinosaur disaster and a particularly unpleasant industrial nightmare.
Fortunately, she isn’t entirely alone.
Ravenheart joins the fight, bringing a savage sword and his own deadly abilities to the battle. Together, the pair can take on the game’s 15 levels in co-op, cutting through whatever the various demonic realms decide to throw their way.
Straight Out Of The 90s Arcade
The inspiration behind Lady Death Demonicron is hardly subtle. The game combines the side-scrolling brawling of classic arcade favourites with sword combat and magic, aiming for the kind of straightforward, button-mashing fun that made those games so easy to drop a few coins into.
There’s a familiar cocktail of influences here too, with elements reminiscent of Streets of Rage, the super iconic Golden Axe and the joys of some Mortal Kombat, all wrapped up in a decidedly darker aesthetic.
The soundtrack completes the picture, with 90s industrial metal providing the noise while Lady Death and Ravenheart work their way through the demonic hordes.
Ready To Start Slicing?
Lady Death Demonicron isn’t shy about what it wants to be. It’s a loud, violent and deliberately old-school co-op beat ’em up, with 15 levels standing between Lady Death and whatever fate awaits at the end of her bizarre journey.
Lady Death Demonicron is available now on Xbox Series X|S (Xbox Store), PC via Steam and PS5 (through the PlayStation Store). If you’re buying on Xbox, expect to pay ÂŁ30.49. The Nintendo Switch version is currently set for a September 11th drop.
