Help a little kitty get home with Cat Slide Tiles on Xbox

Ever since the brilliant Stray released on PC and PlayStation, a whole plethora of kitty games have come to the fore – games like Bright Paw, like Sokocat – Combo and like Mrs.Cat Between Worlds. Cat Slide Tiles may be about as far removed from that adventuring masterpiece as you can get, but it still looks to be a rather neat little addition to the Xbox library. It’s cheap too.

Cat Slide Tiles on Xbox is a tile-slider, it basically says it in the name. Your task is to head into a number of little levels, pick up the blocks that make it up and slide them around. Why? Well, Kitty Tom needs to use those tiles to make his way home – or wherever he’s going.

Priced up at £3.99 and coming from the QUByte Interactive team, you shouldn’t expect any life or gaming changing moments in Cat Slide Tiles. This should be one of those little evening pick-ups; a game that will keep you busy for a couple of hours tops as you wind down for the night. We’d guess that it’ll deliver a whole host of easy to earn Xbox achievements and Gamerscore too. QUByte games very often do that.

With some neat little visuals, plenty of colour and various terrains, moving Kitty Tom to collect door-opening keys should well be a delight. Just expect the difficulty to slowly and surely ramp up as you make progress and begin to understand the tile-sliding mechanics.

You’ll find Cat Slide Tiles on the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Stay tuned for a review from us.

Game Description:

Cat Slide Tiles is a 3D puzzle game with a cute and colorful aesthetic that brings Kitten Tom trying to get his way cleared to get home. The game presents a simple gameplay: slide blocks from the terrain to create a path that leads the kitten from point A to point B. There are three keys in each scenario, the kitten must take all the keys to open the door that leads to the next path. The difficulty will gradually increase as you progress through the levels. Take Tom to his destination, he really needs you to get home before dark.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
