Hit the bass as Aaero delivers a wonderful world of audio and visual magic on Xbox One, PC and PS4

-

If you are in need of a new rhythm music shooting combo, then today is your lucky day – Aaero is here and it is a rather wonderful experience.

Available right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Aaero is nothing short of a delight to play. Priced at £11.99 (although for the first week you’ll find a discount bringing it down to just £9.59), it’ll draw you in to a world full of great visuals and even better tunes as you try to stick to a light ribbon in order to energise the music that pushes you along. With 15 tunes in all, and no less than four different game modes, you’ll find your time with the light-genius a lengthy one.

It’s not all about following a line and powering up music though, as when it’s time for things to wind down a little, a full shooting mechanic comes into play, filling the break in the power chords and allowing you to test a completely different skill set.

If you like the look, or indeed the sound of Aaero, then you should be hitting up our full review asap. We also urge you to check out our video, showing the game in action, on Xbox One S, with a DreamScreen backlighting kit attached to the TV. It’s a wonderful watch and shows off the tech beautifully.

Once you’ve done that, get yourself over to the Xbox Games Store and pick it up. You won’t regret it.

Game Description:

“It’s ridiculous amounts of fun!” – Xbox On Speed through stunning, stylised environments tracing ribbons of light, releasing the energy in the music. Battle strange enemies and fight epic boss battles all driven by an incredible licensed soundtrack. Independent micro-studio ‘Mad Fellows’ brings you a unique and innovative game featuring music from Noisia, Flux Pavilion, Katy B, The Prototypes, Neosignal and many more.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
