The world of assassination has just received its most legendary and unexpected guest. In a stunning announcement, IO Interactive has revealed that the iconic martial artist, Bruce Lee, is coming to HITMAN World of Assassination.

The legend is featured in a brand-new Elusive Target mission, “The Infiltrator,” but in a unique twist, he is not a target for Agent 47, but a key ally.

This incredible new mission is live today, September 25th, and will be available to play until November 20th on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

An Unexpected Ally for the Ultimate Assassin

HITMAN World of Assassination is a game that has continued to deliver incredible content, cementing its place as one of the best stealth experiences ever made. In our 4.5/5 review of Hitman 3, we called the trilogy an “almost essential purchase” and celebrated its “no shortage of replayability.

This new, star-studded Elusive Target is a perfect example of that continued support, adding a completely unexpected and thrilling new chapter to Agent 47’s story that is sure to delight both longtime fans and newcomers.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

This new mission serves as a respectful tribute to Bruce Lee on what would have been his 85th anniversary, and it presents a unique challenge for players.

Bruce Lee stars as “Agent Lee,” an operative aiming to infiltrate the Concord Union, a powerful criminal syndicate based in Hong Kong. To do this, he has been invited to compete in their secretive martial arts tournament, which is being held at the Himmapan Hotel in Bangkok. His mission is to win the tournament and uncover the identity of the syndicate’s supreme leader.

While Agent Lee’s combat prowess is unmatched, the tournament is rumoured to be riddled with sabotage. As Agent 47, your task is to operate from the shadows, blending in with the crowd to identify and discreetly neutralize any and all threats that are targeting Lee, ensuring he can complete his mission.

The Bruce Lee Pack and the Season of the Dragon

To celebrate this monumental collaboration, a new, limited-time DLC pack is also available for purchase.

Available until November 20th for £3.99, The Bruce Lee Pack includes:

  • Permanent Access to the Dragon: A two-level Arcade contract featuring “The Infiltrator” Elusive Target mission.
  • The Yellow Tracksuit: The iconic outfit for Agent 47.
  • The Kali Sticks
  • The Jade Dagger
  • The Golden Dragon Scissors
  • A set of four cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse.

The Season of the Dragon

Today also marks the beginning of a new in-game season, the Season of the Dragon. This will bring a host of new challenges, featured contracts, and four returning Elusive Targets to the game over the coming weeks, as well as new Twitch Drops to earn.

A Quick Look at VR

In other HITMAN news, a free update has also been released today that brings the entire HITMAN World of Assassination trilogy to PC VR for the first time. On top of that, the acclaimed Freelancer mode is also now available to play in VR on both PC VR and PS VR2.

A new contract has been issued, and it’s one that will see you working alongside a true legend. For fans of the HITMAN series, this is an unmissable and completely unique new mission that adds another incredible layer to an already masterpiece-level game.

“The Infiltrator” is live today.
