A Love Letter To Survival Horror’s Golden Era
From the moment Hollowbody begins, it’s clear where its inspirations lie.
This is a game that proudly embraces the survival horror formula perfected in the late 90s and early 2000s, complete with fixed camera angles, carefully rationed resources, environmental puzzles and an oppressive atmosphere that hangs over every location.

Searching For Sasha
At the heart of the story is Mica, an unlicensed black-market shipper whose partner, Sasha, has disappeared inside a sealed-off exclusion zone. Most people would consider entering a twenty-mile stretch of death and decay a terrible idea. Mica decides to go anyway. And naturally, things go wrong almost immediately.
After crashing deep inside the zone, she finds herself stranded amongst the ruins of a forgotten city with no obvious way home. Finding Sasha remains the goal, but survival quickly becomes the priority.

One of Hollowbody’s biggest strengths appears to be its confidence in restraint. Combat exists, but it isn’t the focus. Instead, the game leans heavily into exploration, puzzle-solving and the tension that comes from never having quite enough resources to feel comfortable.
