Are you able to help Alex the Rabbit?

Alex the Rabbit hops onto Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC, bringing a bright slice of retro platforming to gamers.

Priced at ÂŁ4.19 and running three separate versions – including a Series X|S Optimised edition, Alex the Rabbit has been published by Well Game Studio and developed by Well Andrade.

It’s one of those cheap and cheerful games in which the power of the classic 2D adventure keeps things focused on tight jumps, enemy dodges and one very important objective: carrots. Lots of carrots.

At A Glance

  • Game: Alex the Rabbit

  • Publisher: Well Game Studio
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S (Optimised), Xbox One, Windows PC
  • Price: ÂŁ4.19
  • Genre: 2D Platformer

A Classic Carrot-Fuelled Adventure

Alex the Rabbit leans confidently into retro design. You guide Alex, a brave, determined rabbit, across colourful but hazardous worlds, collecting carrots scattered throughout each stage.

Why? Well that is because you are off in search of the ultimate prize, the Golden Carrot waiting at the end of every level.

The structure is straightforward, but expect the execution to ramp up quickly. Across 20 stages, the difficulty steadily increases. Early levels ease you in with simple jumps and basic enemies. Later ones will almost certainly demand sharper timing and quicker reflexes.

You should know what to expect from this one, the usual kind of gaming experience that comes bundled with games of such a price. If you’re a fan of old-school platformers, it’s something you will instantly recognise.

Platforming With Bite

But don’t let the cheerful visuals fool you. Alex the Rabbit expects precision. Obstacles are positioned to punish careless leaps, and enemy placements force you to think before charging ahead.

Four boss battles punctuate the journey, each designed to test what you’ve learned up to that point. Patterns must be read. Openings must be seized. Mistakes can send you back to try again.

Three Versions, One Mission

Players can pick up Alex the Rabbit across three versions: Xbox Series X|S Optimised, Xbox One and Windows PC.

And while it doesn’t reinvent the genre, it doesn’t need to. Alex the Rabbit understands its lane – colourful worlds, escalating challenge and satisfying stage-based progression.

Ready To Hop In?

Alex the Rabbit is available now for £4.19 on Xbox and PC. It’s a bright, budget-friendly platformer built around classic design principles and steady difficulty scaling.

If you’re craving a straightforward 2D challenge with retro energy and just enough bite, Alex is ready to lead the way, one carrot at a time.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
