Hungry Shark World arrives to take a bite out of the console market

-

It’s been downloaded no less than 500 million times but now it is time for the shark to get a real feast as Ubisoft confirm that the Hungry Shark mobile franchise will arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in the form of Hungry Shark World.

Arriving on July 17th (yes, really, July 17th 2018), Hungry Shark World has been created by the Ubisoft studio at Future Games of London to bring us a game that allows the opportunity to rise through the ranks of the food chain. Starting off as a small shark with little more than a care in the world, you will need to make your way up the chain to become the meanest predator in the entire ocean, feeding on a variety of bosses including gruesome goblin sharks, prehistoric predators and giant squids.

Hungry Shark World breaks out of mobile and comes in to play with four unique worlds to explore – tropical islands, sunken temples, vast cities and frozen icebergs. With it featuring more than 250 epic missions, 20 distinctive sharks to upgrade – each of which comes with its own characteristics and personality – if you’re looking to explore the depths of the ocean, and take a bite out of the other big fish out there, then Hungry Shark World should more than be capable… especially since it features fully optimised gamepad controls and 4K support for enhanced graphics on both Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

Do you have what it takes to take charge of the ocean? You’ll only find out by getting your download of Hungry Shark World in from a digital store near you on 17th July 2018.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
